The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Just Your Everyday Guardian Angel
trying to Save the World

He took a deep breath, trying to take all the scents in around him, trying to figure out where she had gone. Teza didn’t know her name either, so it wasn’t like he could go calling for her or something. Calling out for a girl he met seemed a little weird anyway. Still he trusted his nose, and the thicker mail instead tried to find his way into whatever spot she called home for the time being. She was a loner right? Though he guessed perhaps she might have made her way into a pack with the winter months. Based on what she said, her actions though, she didn’t think all that highly of packs, or at the very least their royalty. His ears flicked back, feeling badly once again but he stopped when he heard and saw something. He saw the shadow flicker across the ground as the light was blocked for just a moment.

His mismatched eyes narrowed for a moment focusing on the slightly snowy entrance until he spots the dark female enter. It was her! He was certain! He had found her finally! It took a while but she was here and she looked just fine to him. ”Hey!” His young, still slightly boyish voice echoed down at her, he couldn't tell, or simply didn’t notice she looked so angry. In his excitement at finding her he started running back down the rocks until he slipped sliding all the way down the surface causing his hip and butt considerable discomfort until he stopped flipping forward and face planting into the dirt several feet away from her.

”Hey! Umm.. sorry to be here and bother you but, I wanted to make sure you were okay.” The thick boy says standing himself back up awkwardly. It was fairly obvious up close he wasn’t his brother. The scars over his shoulder and chest, his slightly thicker build. He hoped she wasn’t angry at him for being here, his face looked worried and happy all at the same time. He just wanted to make sure that she had a place to go, but she looked fine. Perhaps he just worried himself over nothing by coming here.

Still he never would have let himself down if something did happen to her. He didn’t care if she hated him or whatever. It was slightly misguided in his opinion if she did, but it was her opinion regardless. He would leave if that was what she wanted, but for the moment he wouldn’t leave unless told to do so. He didn’t know if there was something, different about her or not from when they last met. It was such a whirlwind of words, emotions and sickness he barely could remember anymore. Perhaps it was just in his mind, it was probably nothing, but he hoped he would find out soon.
