Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Windsong lowered her haunches and took a sitting position in front of Exodus, her white tail brushing against the ground to return Exodus' kind gesture. He was gentle, and chalk full of humor. Through prior experience, much of what Windsong encountered pointed that the male gender were cruel and in it for themselves. But Exodus did not relinquish that vibe. Windsong could faintly catch the scent of other wolves brushing against his fur coat; he did not smell of loneliness and disparity like the wanderers she had stumbled across. These factors made him more trustworthy, though Windsong mentally knew, and thus promptly ignored, didn't actually define a good-hearted wolf.

But Exodus didn't seem dangerous. Perhaps he was -- technically, any able-bodied wolf possessed that potential-- but he wasn't seeking to rip her throat out at the artery.

"Well," Windsong muses with a chuckle arising from her chest, "When you're a notorious squirrel hunter, word gets around." Her lips peal back into a sheepish grin, and her eyes dance towards the tree line. A small, lonely wolf such as she didn't have many more options than to prey on the small creatures of the forest. Even a fawn was too much work to chase down for Windsong. Deer young were still swift footed and unless their paths were corrupted by an ambushing pack member, catching one was difficult. A few failed hunts had resigned Windsong to trouncing puffy-tailed squirrels and slick chipmunks. Those creatures had made her agile, but there was very little pride to form around being an ace hunter at those animals.

Unbothered by that resignation, Windsong rolls her shoulders a bit and flits her gaze back over to Exodus. Comically, she introduces, "I'm known as Tail Stealer in these parts, but, please, call me Windsong."
