She was fat with pups, and she was heading to the forest land where she last knew her sister...her littermate was. She knew not for sure anymore if this was her home, but she had to go to find out. She had many siblings but at this point, she knew where none of them were. This was the best place to start in her mind
She felt the discomfort of pregnancy in these moments. Her paws were swollen and her sides were large. She was already a large and foreboding female- a wild amazon of a woman. She was muscular and truly a sight to see with her sunset pelt. She wore her weight well with the development of pups. Sure, one could tell that she was pregnant but her muscle kept the look clean.
She was always a confident woman, and her mind had been warped over time. She saw the world through wide eyes, and chased a mysterious dream, but in doing so lost time that seemed to go by so quickly. As she came upon the forest she tilted her head, looking along the tree tops teeming with life. Birds scurried about among them, and she knew that so much was living inside the forest even if we did not think about it. The small insects, to the large birds. Each sounds she heard was a sign of something living, including the wind that brought the scents to her nose.
She inhaled, closing her eyes as she took it all in. She was not nervous, but perhaps a bit excited to see what her sister had been up to all these years. For now though, she must get herself into the pack. Phaedra knew she was a beast of a woman, and she would be able to hunt well to help provide for the pack. Nogitsune should be here as well, and she was pleased to hear how he already considered her sister family. It was almost as if Fate knew that she needed her shadow, and that her shadow needed his light.
She shifts uncomfortably as she makes it to the border where the scent is thick with female. Phaedra finds herself leaning against a tree as she sits down. She lifts her sunset muzzle to the sky, calling out to the alpha as well as her sister, to make her presence and intent known. The discomfort in her belly was growing as she felt the movement of the pups inside. She knew it was close to time for them to come into the world- it was an instinct of sorts, but she could never predict exactly when. All she knew was they were growing restless inside of her. Life was teeming inside of her, and it was a thrilling thought.
