There were secrets to be had and things to be done. He just had to find them. He hadn't been given a task or assignment yet but he was sure it was only a matter of time before the alpha pair saw his great potential and found him somewhere to train and show his strengths. Until then, he just had to go out and show them what they wre missing! He had already found a strange wolf on the outskirts of the pack, digging something up but she had bones around her and the smell of death on her coat. It was...interesting. He was going to get from her what he could and learn from her. He would learn from anyone he could find. He wanted to be efficient, observant, everything he could be to be the best at secrets and stealth. He hd met two puppies in the free lands too and aimed to find out what he could about them. One smelled of the mountains and the other of the red clay of the ravines. The male pup, Noctis, was more secretive which only made him more curious. He would find out everything soon enough. He didn't know many wolves in his own pack and this bothered him. He had been here for months and planned on being here many more so it was only right that he get to know his pack. He didn't know where his sister and brother were or what they were up to. Tikal was probably digging up more flowers somewhere and Xerxes, well, he was probably polishing his coat in front of a reflective rock or something. Useless. Fen would show them all that he was meant for greatness. He would make his parents proud. Today he was going to go find his uncle and pick his brain. He hadn't seen the alpha since the day they arrived in Asteraia. He was a young pup then and wasn't allowed to be very vocal, adult talk and all that. But now he was a growing yearling and there were other young pups to have to be quiet. Now he was growing into himself and now was the time to start training toward what he wanted for his future. What better time then now? He heard the joyous cry of Halcyon and followed it toward his den. His tail waved gently behind him as he trotted forward, purpose and ambition glowing in his eyes. He knew the alphess Aster and Mugen had been busy stealing wolves and causing all kinds of turmoil but he loved it. He thought it made life more fun. The beach pack would surely fear them now! Seeing as how Aster could steal the very alpha right out from under his own nose! That should show them! He chuckled to himself. He liked to eavesdrop and keep up to date on all the current knowledge around the pack. He picked up on Halcyon's trail soon enough but the alpha was on a mission today, it would seem. It brought him past many dens where he was hesitant because there were expecting mothers and mothers with newborns inside. He knew of their protective streaks and didn't want to be chased off so he hurried past. But finally the silhouette of the alpha was clear before him and he barked in greeting to let the male know he was coming. He picked up his pace to a lope, moving gracefully up to the wolf before he slowed down and stopped before him, bowing his head politely to Halcyon's rank and offering him a smile. "Hey, Halcyon. Not sure if you remember me...Fenyang? Son of Viserys and Ankh. I want to train with someone, sir. Someone who can make me into the best spy and thief Moladian has ever seen." He straightened up, ears pricked forward and tail wagging. His eyes shone with determination. He wanted only the best because that's what he planned on being. Who better to ask than the alpha himself?
