He was unbelievably happy to see Asteraia flourishing once more underneath his brother's reign. He had already delivered three pups into the world, and based on the scent and slight weight-gain of his other brother's companion, it seemed as though he might have a chance to help with some more. Viserys was a bit wary about the fact that Mugen hadn't seemed to pick up on the lady's condition, he was as vile and as rude as ever, no softening in tongue with the revelation that he would be a father. It was not his place to judge, however- though despite what Mugen said about Ankh, at least they had done things the right way. The male snorted, pushing himself to his feet. The warm spring invigorated him, and he figured that he would find one of his children or perhaps his mate to accompany him on a walk.
That was, until, the horrified cry of Mugen reached his ears. He couldn't stop the smirk that crossed his muzzle. It seemed as though his brother had finally found out that he was to be a father, and from the sound of it, he wasn't all too happy nor prepared. Viserys knew that he had work to do, however, the brutish male was no healer and he needed to assure that things were going smoothly. He stuck his head inside his side-den that contained his herbs, picking up the bundle he had prepared in case of this particular event occurring. It was best to be prepared. He moved towards his brother's den, ears falling flat against his head as he heard a second call. Was something wrong, or was Mugen just being neurotic?
Viserys sighed and hurried as much as he could, spurred even further onwards by a third call, this time from what he assumed was Faolan. He was COMING! He could only go so fast! Grumbling underneath his breath, he quickly smoothed his irritated expression as he finally approached the den. He could see Mugen standing in the den, awkwardness quickly filling the air around him. But his job was not to explain to him that yes, this is what happens with the head in your groin as opposed to the one atop your neck. "Out of the way, Mugen. Let me do my job for once." He was testy, today, apparently. Maybe if they had let him take his damn time.
He turned to the new mother and his expression softened. From his first glance-over he recognized that she had bled more than usual, enough to cause some weakness, but not enough to be dangerous. Viserys approached her gently, setting down the parcel of herbs and sorting through them. He placed a few next to her maw. "Borage leaves, to help you in producing milk for your boy. Valerian root, for pain- and comfrey root to help slow bleeding." He explained gently, moving to her hindquarters and doing what he could to ease the tearing. Some wounds, however, would need to heal on their own, with time.
Viserys moved now to the pup, inspecting him gently. "He is blind in one eye." He murmured. "But nothing else appears to be wrong with him. My mentor, Haziel, was fully blind, and he is a very successful wolf. I have no doubt your son will be fine." He stepped back now, shooting a pointed glance towards Mugen who just seemed to be overjoyed with this whole situation. "Have Mugen come by my den for you if you need anything else, more valerian or borage, or if the bleeding doesn't stop- and, congratulations, Faolan." He smiled. "He will grow up to be strong and healthy, I am sure of it." He paused, then, waiting to see if either had any more questions for him. It was none of his business, but his brother had better own up to this and take care of her. This boy, he felt, might end up lacking a father.
