As her vibrant eyes had scanned the growing group of young pups she found them drawn to a certain boy. His coat is a rather patchwork assembly of black, white, and gray but there was definitely a Feeling when his mismatched eyes met her own. Her dark brow furrowed as the whatever this Feeling was grew in her chest and she shifted in place almost uncomfortably. She watched as he ducked out of the gathering and slipped away under the trees cover. Not sure why she rose to her own paws and followed him steadily, curious about how the world seemed to thrum when she was near them the way the reeds on the dunes sometimes sang when they caught the wind just right. Ragardless she found herself relieved to be walking away from Blackthrone in all his avarice, he set her teeth on edge.
She had heard stories of imprinting, and while it was an intriguing idea she had not expected to experience it herself or at least not so early in life. The idea that part of her soul now belonged to another fascinated her in a new and different way, it was something she had to know more about, to pick it apart and see what was inside. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she lost track of him for a moment, raising her nose to the air and attempting to follow his scent as it left the pack’s boarders. Luckily he was easy enough to follow and find hiding beneath a bush pressed up against a rock.
Interesting, she thought humming to herself as she looked down at him in his shelter. Did he feel the need to hide from her? “There are better places to hide.” Her tone is very matter of fact, for there were quite a few better options. “You could have crossed the river and I would have lost your scent trail.” She settled her lithe frame to the ground, while she was still growing into her adult body the athleticism and grace she possessed were already apparent. “Unless you wanted to be found.” A part of her hoped this was the case, and that only intrigued her further, just as everything new and different did. There was so much to be discovered for a growing pup.
