Idle hands, they say, lead to trouble. Being idle was both something Avtandil did well, but also often loathed about the world around him. Due to circumstance for years he needed to lie low, keep himself hidden, and learn to live the best he could with what he was able to find. His mother’s Imprint had done what he could, teaching him at least how to survive in the wild common lands, but one point it became up to him to figure it out. Youth stripped away with the baby fat of puppyhood, now Avtandil was starting to stand tall and proud of who he was becoming, even if the path he walked had been riddled with holes.
Being thrown from his home at a young age, a puppy turned fugitive when he tried to protect his family had given him a stark quietness to his already fairly close lipped nature. Now with the weight of his Mother’s death pressing down on his shoulders, he was not going to sit idle anymore. Trusting his growing family to protect, defend, and be loyal to Iromar, Avtandil decided set his sights elsewhere. The common lands had grown stale on him and the ferocity of his sister’s vocal rage ignited his own quiet ember. Years ago he had not been able to protect his home and his family from a ruthless murderer. In his absence, he had not been able to protect his Mother from yet another murderer. Now, he would not let it happen again. Here he would devote himself to the defense of a pack, so loyal to one that had been his own, and vow to it. Even if he could not succeed himself, he would ensure someone was there who could. With Aster’s guidance, he had set his sights on a pup of the pack.
Still new to the fold, the young man was not entirely sure how to approach the pup, nor even exactly which pup he was. Over a couple weeks though, he started to pick up on which of them was the most rambunctious. Still, the dark male’s social skills were something to be desired, and they were a weapon none of his family really cared to hone. He did what needed to be done and simply found a clearing of shorter grass, judged it worthy for a little chat and tussle and barked up a call for the pup, Fenyang, to come to him. He had been tasked with talking to this pup. His eyes narrowed to himself. Talking to a pup. This was going to be harder than anything he had ever done.
