She hurried home the moment she had heard. It was hard for her to have been gone for so long, but Alistair for a long time told her her fate might lay beyond the mountains. The year she had spent with Anatola had been so amazing and fruitful. She helped care for Ana over the winter and as the seasons when on, and Moonstone in trade got to learn how to heal from the patchwork wolfess. She had always wanted to learn, and she learned so much, not just about Spirane but all of Moladion! She got to see all the lands, learn about so many different plants and their uses, and she hunted and provided for herself and Ana all the time. Of course the wolfess helped, it was amazing what she could do despite only having three legs. Often it seemed like she had no problems at all, she was so normal and nice.
Moonstone didn’t like having to tell her that she had to leave, but of course Ana understood. The russet girl had given her rushed farewell and took off across Moladion as fast as her large form could carry her. It had been a long run, but the peak had always been in her sights. She had arrived a few days before, helped in the care of her aunt best she could offer. She had no supplies of her own, not at Spirane anyway, but there were so few healers left on the mountain. Niviaq was growing old and Moonfeather soon departed the mountain once their aunt had been stabilized. She had to stay. Her purpose finally was set before and it was still at Spirane just the road hadn’t been originally at Spirane.
Moonstone for a while had thought about asking her Aunt Daenerys about becoming her heir, she still held that desire to help the pack should they need it. For now though she knew the skill of healing was what she had to do and work with and if Spirane needed her for more… well she would try to do what she could to see to it it was continued to be in the right hands. Preferably that of her family. However, she was a bit surprised, the reason she had looked back to healing was because Nymeria had been announced as Heir. Kalsure however was taking control of the pack instead. Moonstone was curious, but she did not doubt one cousins ability to lead over another. Kalseru was older, more life worn, perhaps it was that reason that she had rose to the occasion instead of her sister.
Regardless of reason, Moonstone believed in her, as her call echoed over the mountains the girl made her way up them with ease. Remembering long ago when she, Samus and Rufio all climbed as high as they could in order to get to the moon and see their grandparents. How young they had been, yet her paws still carried her up the mountain as if she was here yesterday. She arrived just after the two brothers. She didn’t hesitate to walk up closer to her cousin, though she didn’t say anything, why she was there, who she was. She felt no need. Kalseru looked so much like her mom did, she had heard the words of the dusty brown male and she agreed, but she couldn’t make out the words of another who had spoken. Moonstone for the time being would be respectably quiet and wait to see what her cousin had to say about her new upcoming rule.
