Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

WHAT A DAY! The moment that Celeste had said it I had pelted right out after Rurik, trying to tackle him to the ground with my puppy snarls that broke into giggles. His excitement was infectious and we often tended to hype each other up with our rambunctious nature. Mother was tired alot so I didn't try to play with her much and Paschal was the 'good' girl, always by her side and being prim. It was okay though, I still loved her, and Andriel too even if he was a STICK IN THE MUD. Rurik's term had stuck with me and I grinned often when I thought about it. My siblings were cherished, however, and I felt little confusion from my family about my place in it. I had two dads - Nord and Enderly. That was simply that. I never really thought how my other siblings felt when Enderly tried to call them his kids too because I was a bit too young and naive to note the way he tried to needle Nord occasionally, but they seemed to be of some sort of understanding. Not that I cared. I just lived!

The moment we arrive I am fairly squirming with excitement and I dart back and forth through Nord's legs with a grin, smaller than my siblings still. I pause between his front legs, small ears pressing against his chest, as he warns us to listen to mother. "Of course, daddy!" I say, aghast, as if I would ever consider not listening. I just forgot... like... alot. That couldn't be helped.

Wanna race? I perk up then, eyes bright as I stare in challenge at my brother. "YES!" I shout, but don't move when Tzadkiel arrives, eyeing him with open curiosity. Before I can get in a word a COUSIN is showing up, another one, that is, because Rurik is already claiming he is Tzad's cousin. "I can beat you all, you know," I say proudly, puffing up my chest but holding onto my shit-eating grin. I was a mischievous one and refused to sit still and be sidelined. "I'm your cousin TOO," I say and then suddenly, I begin racing off. To me, the end line is OBVIOUS. A huge stump in the distance. I don't even notice the adults arriving and settling around mom and dad. Who cared anyways until the race was done? Once I win, I would prance back happily to greet them all!
