It was interesting how the leadership of most of the packs was beginning to turn over to the younger generation, something that had been on the young queen’s mind ever since she had discussed the matter while training as Hand. Almost all the packs save for Glorall and Diveen were now ruled by young she-wolves, or maybe they just seemed young because they were all near her own age. At time she wondered when she would stop thinking of herself as young despite being well into her adulthood now. When she found a mate or became a mother herself? All possibilities but she had no time to focus on any of those things right now. Spirane was her sole and single focus and she was okay with that.

As she took in the young priestess of Taviora she wondered if she too had these same questions and misgivings. Had anyone in her own pack ever questioned her right or ability to rule? The matter with Tychon still stood in the forefront of her mind and while he hadn’t necessarily been malicious in his challenge of her ability to rule it had still cut to her heart that someone within her own pack hadn’t trusted or believed in her. Perhaps one day the pair could talk about such things, but for now it seemed best to stick to formalities.

Kalseru dipped her finely etched features in appreciation for Zelda’s concern regarding Daenerys. “The healers say she will recover, but it will be a slow process and she will have to keep off her paws for a while and even then avoid anything terribly strenuous for even longer. Of course I think the latter will be the hardest part for her.” She smiled gently, it wasn’t in her mother’s blood to just sit idly by any more than it was in her own and she was hoping her mother would take it easy which only increased the drive Kalseru had to prove herself. As Zelda continued however the dark girls eyebrows drew together and her head tilted slightly in both interest and concern as the sudden rather serious tone. “I would appreciate the information, my attention has been turned rather internally to the pack with the change in leadership and I admit I have not been keeping up on matters outside of our boarders as I should have. Please continue.” Her moon-rimmed eyes watched Zelda carefully ready to take in every detail of what she had to say.
