He would never know what it was like, but he did know a different struggle. Their litter had been a troubled one, one that he knew many in their family didn’t particularly approve of. Their grandfather that was so revered in particular was one that he felt was actually a false ‘god’ in ways. So many looked up to him, respected him, but really his thoughts, his ways, while smart, were so misguided to the ears of Haziel. It didn’t help that his pelt looked like the demons many started to hate. His black fur with red markings on more than one occasion earned him the growls of those that didn’t know his family or understand. Iblis had been one such prominent wolf who snarled at him when he touched the borders of Asteraia all those years ago for thinking he was a demon. Things had been so hard and Haziel had seen how being able to see was a curse. He always had to judge wolves by what they said, not what they looked like.
So he might have to agree, out of the two of them he might have had it better than his sister. However, there was no way of ever living, or completely understanding the struggle of the other. His tail gave a few waves though, his form moving forward to greet her once more as she spoke again, her words were a little garbled, but he thought he understood what she was trying to say. She leaned in he could hear her soft hums as he touched the corners of his mouth.
”Me too, I am glad to have you back.” He says in his low rumbling tones, always she had made things easier. Hunting just being happy, it all was just easier. Perhaps it might had been odd that the duo always had been so close, but they were the only ones they had growing up that fully understood. Of course their brother tried, but they were the ones that truly felt the struggle. Forfax had been favored greatly by Heyel after all while both Nahal and Haziel had been pushed aside as something that would not do well in the world, especially him, thus he started his climb. Left the land of the angels after his training with Meryl all those years ago. It was upon the favor of his mom that the small male learned to teach Haziel so carefully, but Meryl never thought him lesser than anyone else. The kind male was patient with him, taught him, and then allowed Haziel to go out on the world on his own.
Now he had her back after all these years it was like they were back where they started. ”What would you like to do then?” He asked her if she was hungry they could go get something, he wasn’t the best but he was an amazing tracker and pretty good at ambushes with his excellent ears and nose. It was when ambushes failed though was when he wasn't so good. The chase wasn’t always impossible but not exactly probable after all.
