Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Lounging had become a favorite past time of mine as I stretched my growing body out across a boulder near the beach of Glorall. Watching was a second favorite. I watched the wolves of Glorall as they padded by, to and fro, some with intent and some lost in the abstract world of their minds. Each time they ventured too close my tongue grew wet, my violent and my emerald eye tracking them while my body tensed. My abnormally long tail flicks across the rock much like that of the feline counterparts that hunt in the free lands - the cougars. I had a hankering to see one and decided I would pester Apophis to go with me soon to hunt one. No need to kill it, I wasn't stupid. I was only getting close to my two year mark and had much more room to grow, despite how long and lithe my legs had gotten. Yet every time I saw a beautiful female prance by I grew furious, judging them against me and finding myself lacking.

My pale tan-backed ears flick as a howl arises. Mother calls and I will always listen to her. I slide from the rock in a rather ungraceful manner before padding towards the borders. Yet in the distance I spy my brother, Apophis, and I dart towards him, leaning my head out to snap at his heels as I catch up. A wicked grin spreads across my muzzle as I then rub the side of my body against his before falling into step. "Darling, what do you think has mother calling for us?" My voice is deceptively sweet, although by now Apo understood that I was a vicious thing. Prone to jealousy and grew angered easily if I did not get my way. Yet I adored my brothers, often pitting them against one another for the sheer fun of it, and if they upset me, well, I would make the culprit feel as terrible as I could.

When finally we arrive I spy a massive beast of a wolf nipping at mother, then settling down. My ears fall back slightly, eyes trailing across her. She is quite obviously our sister, but I feel a spark of my jealousy running through my veins. She is beautiful, in a vicious sort of way, and I cannot help compare how I don't match up to that. So I make sure to stride right up to mother, nipping at her in the same manner as my eldest sister before licking her chin in deference and sitting right next to her. What will happen now?
