aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Warriors are not born and they are not made,
Warriors create themselves

Khaleesi returned his smile and Aindreas stared at her with his electric pools, enheartened that she seemed to be happy to see him. After Kalgalath had left, so many other wolves had left too. Their loyalty had been to Kalgalath and not to the land - some of them had left to follow him to the pack that he would now lead. But others of them had felt hurt and betrayed by his sudden decision to leave and had left Aurora Borealis to live elsewhere. Electrics still stared at her as she opened her maw to respond to his question. Aindreas cocked his head as she spoke, interesting in how she would respond. His eyes tracked her movement as she neared him, neared the boundary, crossed it with two of her paws.

'Yes, if you would still have me. I’m sorry I left. But it won’t happen again. No other place but Aurora will ever be home.'

Aindreas shook his head. "It is not whether I would have you, but whether the land would have you back. You lived here before I did and grew up here - this will always be your home and that is not something I can change, even if I wanted to." He reached out and lifted her muzzle with his nares. "Which I do not." Aindreas moved aside giving her a clear shot to the territory. "Welcome back home. And I must say, I am happy to have you back." How could he ever tell her how far Aurora had fallen? Could he tell her that so many packmates had left? That Aurora Borealis now only consisted of Aindreas, Vladimir, Seraphina, Rift and now Khaleesi? There had been a time when the pack boasted three to four times that number of inhabitants. Aindreas had a goal to build it up to be that strong again some day. Perhaps not now, but that was his aim. He had never wanted to be an Alpha, but now that he was, failure was not an option. He needed to fill the pawsteps of his father and he needed to atone for his failures as a father himself.

"Thing have... changed. But I want to do better. I need your help to do that. You grew up in what Aurora used to be - what it was meant to be. I need you to help advise me. And first and foremost... I need to know what I should say to Vladimir. He is upset our father left... and that his brother Castiel left. I should be a brother to him now only... Only I don't know how to be a brother. Or a father. Or anything really."
