Call her naive if you will, Silvanus found herself inexplicably drawn to the accented stallion. Black lobes flickered uncertainly between her two newfound friends, though she never moved any further from Pilar, afraid that something terrible would happen if she did. Granted, she hadn’t a clue what that terrible thing could be. That was when the other mare seemed to shift, as if she were a cat raising her hackles and spitting at rat she’d found in her bed.
’I don’t believe you.’ the brown girl’s words bounced around inside her head, as if she couldn’t quite comprehend them at first. Obviously it had been a mistake to so easily include Jaxon, and yet she still longed for him to trust her, to be the friend he said he was in search of. Snorting, confusion evident on her facade, her long raven legs carried her a small step backward, the water splashing around her hocks. ”I’m sorry Pilar, this is my fault. Perhaps we should just leave.”
Glancing from one pair of eyes to the other, the young vixen found herself saddened. Jaxon appeared to be so lonely, and then there was Pilar, who wanted nothing to do with him and probably for good reason. Silvi never had been great at judging others, but she had a profound desire to help them both. Perhaps just seperately.
Shifting her weight from side to side, she reminds herself to breathe. How can he prove he’s no danger to them? Her thoughts race but nothing seems forthcoming, thus she glances to Pilar, who seems to have taken to lead for the moment.
