The place for a little bit of everything!
The OOC board is, well, multi-purpose! Members can post freely here and the majority of site-related content will be posted here as 'announcements,' while general chatting goodness is encouraged to take place over on our Discord server.

Plot-trackers and to-do lists can also be posted here. Events such as "Quarterly Highlight" nominations and voting, site-wide plots, Casanova nominations and site-wide changes (such as a rule update) will also be posted here. You may use the 'key' below to colour-code your posts!

It's in the rules but it simply states no power play. If you like to see the rule yourself it's under general and it's rule 5 :) it doesn't give an explanation because LC, while completely welcoming to new rpers, we consider ourselves to be an intermediate to advanced RP who generally are familiar with power play and god play. I don't mind one bit explaining it though so no worries! And you shouldn't be embasassed! It was a good idea it simply needed to be written in a way that allows a little more choice (which I'll get into later with some examples that hopefully will help!) we all learned at some point! I myself had a ummm less graceful lesson of PP on another site over 10 years ago now... (holy I'm dating myself Dx) lmao.... but it's part of learning the Play by post RP process and most sites have a similar rule to this :)

As for them coming into the thread that is my bad, the guards are allowed under my permission to interrupt the thread. Generally though under other circumstances it's not considered PP to post to a thread tagged for someone else. It is considered a bit uncouth though to do so without permission, but they had it from me as they do play guards of Taviora.

As for their ability to track, yes and no. Again it's to the descression of the player if they are tricked by anything, it's a weird line where it gets grey with power play. How I will explain it though is that because they responded to being able to follow and mentioned how they were able to unravel Juris' tricks via experience or simply because there were four of them sniffing around, it's not powerplay so much. I would say someone like a younger wolf or a wolf not as experienced or good at tracking (maybe even single wolves that would get mixed up following the wrong paths so they took longer or something) would be less likely to be able to trail like that and that would be pushing PP more though. It's not something easy to explain Dx sorry if it makes it more confusing, but again it's ultimately up to the other player if they are tricked and some may be and some might not be.

Honestly I think we had some miscommunication on how the thread would go down too ^^' which was wrong of me to assume (and you know what they say about assuming Dx). I thought he would come in, meet with Zelda get invited in then have free reign to do whatever he wanted and sneak the items that way ^^' but when he crossed the borders uninvited (and right now there's some turbulence in packs so guards are a little higher) it's more likely to be persued. Sorry again for my assuming :( this is where having chatango and private messaging helps! (We have discord now if you know what that is! I don't think it takes flash so maybe you can give it a try? I'll give you a link if so!) But still it's no excuse that I assumed things would happen that way and I'm sorry for that Dx

On another note though I will say you can throw that a coyote (or any other good trick!) in there, but for example you would have had to write it in a less factual way such as: They could have been distracted by a coyote that rolled in my scent nearby instead of me. (This allows the other player freedom to accept or deny this trick in their next reply. It's not set in stone and you are not forcing the other players character into doing it, just opening a door to another option that could have happened)

PP example: they got distracted and gone to a coyote, instead of me, that had rolled in my scent. (basically anything that moves another players character around or makes them say/do something they didn't in their post. However, if this is your reply to their reply and they chose to indeed get distracted by a coyote then this is okay!)

I will add it's also a blurry line of PP saying that no one would be capable of tracking Juris just like with them following. An example of PP is like a fight where you keep dodging and never get hit. A player can't force a hit on yours, but it's PP saying you never get hit or in this case followed if that makes sense. Again PP is a confusing street with grey lines and keep in mind it's up to other players if they feel their characters in particular are tricked.

I will mention that he still managed to sneak the items away, nothing was forced beyond that, Zelda and them didn't get more than his scent and super vague appearance (in Zelda's case she doesn't know his gender yet even) since he moved around through bushes and trees constantly breaking line of sight and he did so quickly. Your post even states they could have got his scent and that is basically all they have to go on at this point :) she doesn't even realize anything is missing and probably won't until she goes to sleep. So in terms of plot yes he got the items and all is well it just didn't go how either of us really thought it would haha!

Just keep in mind that like in real life everything has its kinks and it's often, while a little more stressful in Juris' case, more fun for the player(s) :) he entered a pack that has pretty tightly secured border, but still got out with items and I still think it's a win over all and testament to his abilities IC wise! :)

Still open for more questions but I hope I'm clearing things up for you XD (wowie so sorry for the long reply Dx)
