Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He didn't know what Thorne wanted for his future but somehow he wanted to help get him there, or at least help along the way. The young male was strong minded and had the willpower but he would need guidance whether he wanted it or not. Thor nodded at Thorne's question about the strong.

"It is A strategy, but if history tends to repeat itself. Packs have allowed only the deemed strong within and it became chaos. Strong wolves tend to want power and too many vying for power leads to nothing good."

He ignored the flash of fangs and his ears flattening back. He wasn't intimidated by Thorne. When Thorne said that he had yet to see the pack step in, Thor's own ears laid back, his eyes turning sad for a minute.

"A pack protects its own. I cannot answer for you why you haven't seen that part of it. I can only tell you that if you were challenged tomorrow, I wouldn't hesitate to step in and have your back."

He tilted his head when Thorne said that if pups can't survive infancy then they don't have strong spirit. At least Thorne agreed that the weak can learn to be strong. He raised a brow when Thorne said that he had plans of his own.

"Then I guess being in a pack isn't only for the weak. Everyone has their own motivations in life. Not everything is what it seems."

He'd leave that for him to chew on. He shook his head when Thorne asked if it drove him mad.

"No, it drove me, period. Determination and willpower is how I got here. I never gave up on getting back to my homeland and my family."

He could tell Thorne was trying to taunt him, but he met his gaze evenly and again, shook his head.

"No, their memory comforted me in my loneliness. I thought of them and knew I would be okay."

Then Thorne dug deep, saying that he had been chewing on some bones and wondered if they belonged to his parents. Thor felt a rise inside himself but as quickly as it came, it subsided. He had been taught how to curb his anger well before he came back to Glorall. He smirked back at Thorne in answer.

"Their bones are just that....bones. Their spirits have moved on elsewhere. You can't offend me, Thorne. Not about my family, anyway. They are what strengthens me. They are my talisman against the world. I'm sure you have one too."
