Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Shilo And I Don’t Think That I Can Be Fixed

Fear rose through the female as the scent of smoke invaded her senses. She could hear the screams and cries of her brother as she ran through the burning brush. Tears streamed from her eyes from all the smoke and fear as she searched for the blind brother. Normally he could get around the packlands fine, but not with a fire. She had to find him or he would die. Her limbs screamed in pain as her muscles weakened and she collapsed to the ground, trying to crawl forward to find him. Tiresias was the only thought on her mind, and she had to get to him before it was too late. She saw a tree in front of her fall down in flames as her world turned black as she lost consciousness. And then Shilo was awake, breathing heavily and crying to herself as she did. She realized she was in her den, safe. There was no fire, not anymore anyways. Mint green orbs looked around her den to help calm her, and she realized that it was early morning. She decided to get up for the day rather than risking facing another nightmare in her sleep.

The tall stilted kalak pushed out of her den, seeing that the sun was still rising behind some clouds. Most would still be asleep at this hour, so she decided to go out and explore some territories outside of the pack lands. With the world around her changing so much she needed to get used to the changes and get to know the lands again. After some time in the forests she noticed that the trees were thinning a bit, and she had no idea where she was. Black tipped ears listened carefully to see if there was anything else around that may be dangerous, but so far she heard nothing. Paws continued to carry the smaller femme until she did hear something. A playful yip from another varg, perhaps playing with a friend. For a moment Shilo thought of going in the other direction, unsure of what she would encounter, but she decided to continue on her way and see if it was a friendly varg or not, trying to overcome her anxieties of meeting someone new.

Shilo pads carefully forward, ready to flee if the stranger appeared to be hostile. She saw another female digging at a some smaller prey’s hole before she backed away with a sneeze. When she did so she began to look around, sniffing at the air, and Shilo froze. This was her last chance to run before the stranger noticed she was there. But she seemed to be frozen to the spot, unable to move. Her stilts had her outside of the tree line so her orange and black fur was very visible, but not too close to the stranger. Mint green orbs grew wide as the other female would no doubt see her, but she did not flee. Shilo stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do or say. Finally, she spoke up. ”Um…hello…” She knew it was a pathetic greeting, but she didn’t know what else to do…
