He wasn’t sure what was going on beyond wanting to protect his child. His fangs found purchase on the female’s leg. He gripped it as he would have a fleeing deer or other prey. Digging in his back legs trying to get her to stop her assault on his child. It was then though that a huge black form game barreling forward, crashing into the small wolfess causing him to let go in surprise and back away quickly. He hadn’t heard the male coming, and was focused on the female after his son still as she turned to right herself. Seeing that the large male was on his side his eyes scanned about for his small son.
He spotted his little half white face peeking at him looking horrified and Jinan soon was jogging to him and standing over him his form low so that he was protected. A low threatening growl boiled in his throat, though it wasn’t loud. His hackles were raised and his green eyes ran from the female who looked motified at the sight of the large black male then the other female standing in the brush just watching. THe strange male spoke then, but from the angle of which Jinan didn’t know what he was saying. However, with his body as a living shield for his child he didn’t feel like Kajika had the moment to run now. HIs gaze went to the wolfess then, the one who was silent as the other was at the side. Something told him that he knew the small female, but Jinan didn’t care, or know for certain at the moment. That female tried to hurt his child, she deserved to be slayed like the night beasts that walked the wilds.
His eyes flicked to the female then as the wolf turned. He mouthed a word, Exodus, which he took to be his name. The female replied, the one who had not attacked but stood watching. She wasn’t guilty in the means that she hurt Kajika but he could see her words, see how they barely hissed from her teeth. She was no friend of his or his son’s. After all, they assaulted ‘without understanding” it was obvious that the female he took hold of wanted to kill him. He wasn’t vacuous, it was obvious, she certainly didn’t make any sense in the slightest. The last bit, he only thought she was referring to herself and her companion, they were the snakes, and they didn’t understand why they had interfered. Otherwise it all felt nonsense to him.
He didn’t go after her, perhaps he would have gone after them both if he didn’t have his child under him. But she turned and walked away, he didn’t see her speak as she ran off with the small female at her side but he sighed and his hackles lowered and his lips once again dropped so that they covered his fangs. HIs heart still raced in his chest though, but he stepped back so he could finally look at his small son. He saw his tattered ear, but knew it could have been much worse for him, licking the tear slightly. It would be a reminder forever of this day, but it looked like he would be okay.
”It’s okay. You are okay.” Jinan says, both to relax himself and his youngest son. His gaze goes to Exodus then, ”Thank you.” Jinan felt fairly certain that if he hadn’t stepped in that it would have gone worse. He was not a big male by any means, but he knew of his lineage of warriors and hunters a like, though he didn’t know that the brute who stood before him now was a relative of that lineage more known for its fighting prowess.
