The tall male was still surprised by his actions. Normally Lupin didn’t interact with others, but today he found himself approaching a stranger. Well she wasn’t entirely a stranger. She was within the pack territory so he knew that she was a pack mate, even if he could not recall her name. Before the brute had been with Halina in a pack he probably would have been perfectly content to never interact with others after the horrors of his past. But the scarred male found himself growing lonely without Halina to train with. He even missed Halina’s mate, who he had not been terribly fond of. Lupin had no personal issues with Ygritte, the mate of his trainer. But she had seemed more interested in Halina and that she didn’t care for him when he was a pup. But he didn’t let that bother him. Him and Halina had gotten along well and she had given him all the skills that he needed to be a successful adult varg. Which he had only recently come into adulthood, but he was full grown now, even if he was still on the young side.
Lupin approached the femme awkwardly, not wanting to disturb her but also wishing to say hello. Luckily she approached him and greeted him, introducing herself. “It’s nice to meet you, too, Lupin. I’ve lived here for. I’ve been here since Milo took over. And you? What about you? Have you been here long?” As the femme spoke, Lupin took the time to look her over more closely. He noticed that she was not unblemished either, she too seemed to have an interesting past. But the dark brown varg would never intrude on another’s life by asking personal questions like that. He had shared his own past with Halina, but so far she had been the only one that he had spoken to about that. Recalling the brutal attack that an enemy pack had raged on his family was tough for him. It was still vivid in his mind, his parents fighting to protect him but they had bene vastly outnumbered by cannibalistic and sadistic wolves, so there was no hope. It was a miracle that Lupin had escaped and lived.
Lupin snapped his attention back to the words that she had said, not wanting to be rude getting lost in unfortunate memories. ”I’ve been here about the same time, right when Milo called for that first meeting I joined. I was in Abendrot before…well before everything changed. I grew up there with a wolf who trained me.” He didn’t know what kept him talking, but he felt comfortable with Anastasia. He didn’t want to bore her with mundane details of his life, but he also wanted to continue conversing with her. ”So, what made you come to this pack then if you didn’t grow up?” He hoped it wasn’t too personal of a question, but he was intrigued by her, and hoped she wouldn’t mind him asking. The words came out slowly though, as if he was afraid to say them, and in a way he was. What if he got too personal and scared away the only varg that he had interacted with in the pack? Once more his paws shifted awkwardly, hoping that she wouldn’t decide to walk away.
