She seemed so sure of herself, so mature, and he felt like a fool for fumbling around so much in her presence. Winchester cleared his throat, hoping to regain at least some of his composure amidst the torrent of emotions and thoughts that flooded his mind. He shuffled awkwardly, unable to completely wipe the goofy smile from his face, but at least trying to match some of her adultness. At least the girl before him seemed to be a bit smitten with his compliments, and the boy was happy to know that he hadn't messed things up completely. He didn't believe so much in the power of first impressions--especially not with someone you were bound to for life-- but he wanted to impress her all the same.
His name leaving her lips was like a jolt of electricity, causing him to twitch slightly, blinking at her wide-eyed. Winchester would essentially worship the ground she walked on just to get her to say it again. He felt like a giddy child when she added that he was handsome too, the elation on his face plain as day.
Winchester felt another blush spread beneath his fur as she asked him to tell her about himself. She wanted to know about him? He almost thought that he was dreaming-- this was too good to be true. He had never expected to imprint on someone quite like her... he was a nobody, and she was so pretty and smart and mature. There was no other choice. He simply had to make himself good enough.
