Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Remington

Oh, the places her wandering feet had taken her! Remington had discovered so many wonders the world beyond Moladion's borders offered. Not least of which was the ocean, the endless coastline that she had chased for how many days she could not recall. The sparkling sheen of the forever reaching waters had captured her heart in youth and never let go. It had been the desire to meet the great water's edge that had first enticed her to venture beyond the confines of the mountains of her birth. And since that day her wandering spirit had never wavered. Each day brought new adventures, and for the past year she had explored far and wide outside of the safety of her parents' den.

Despite the many wolves she had met in passing throughout her unplanned journey, however, she did miss her family. The importance of family was something instilled in her since birth, and she was often reminded in dreams that she hadn't really given them much of a heads up that she was leaving or where she was going. So as the winter gales whipped down from the north, it was almost as if nature itself pushed Remi back towards Moladion in the south. Happy to go where the wind took her, she followed the air currents and found herself on the outskirts of her country of origin.

Remi did not immediately return to Spirane, however - part of her knowing how her mother would chide her for being gone so long. Though she knew she would be greeted with abounding love, she just wanted to frolic about carefree for a little while longer. And besides, Winchester had struck out on his own around the same time she had, so maybe she could find her brother out in the wilds of Moladion first.

Seeking relief from the blustering winds of the open, Remi made her way into the shelter of Enocra Woodland's dense forest. Less snow had accumulated on the ground here, finding it harder to reach the forest floor because of the canopy over head. The girl practically danced through the forest, the familiarity of the scents here setting her on some kind of high. She left a jagged path of paw prints in the snow, her steps erratic but somehow appearing almost choreographed in some manner. An airy giggle loosed from her lips and finally she came to a standstill, sighing softly as she looked up into the trees.

In her moment of silence, however, she heard the sounds of another wolf. Her ears flicked back, and then her head craned over her shoulder. Icy blue eyes darted back and forth only a couple of times before she spotted the source a few rows of trees away. Grinning, Remi turned and jogged towards the shewolf who lay in the snow before a single violet flower that had popped up through the snow. "Hi there!" she called as she approached, for she had had so many good encounters with wolves beyond Moladion's borders that she'd somewhat forgotten the dark warning tales told of cannibals in these lands. "I'm Re-" her words paused as recognition dawned on her - she'd only seen those crown-like markings once before - then, "Alyse?!" And she bound forward excitedly, remember her brief chance encounter with the girl who had been traveling south as she had made her way north. So she'd found Moladion after all!
