Winter had come and gone, and with it, I watched as my mother got even older than she had been before, I felt like she was fading right before my eyes, and it was breaking me. Dad seemed to be getting down as well, and that was even more heartbreaking. I don't know if I can deal with watching my mom die, and watching dad deal with the heartbreak of loosing her. I couldn't stand to be around the den much, so I wandered the lands, never entering one of the packs but coming close to the borders. It'd been some time since I'd see Zanon. I doubted the boy remembered me anymore.

I shook off the thought as I wandered the lands. I'd heard the rumors of a puppy party for the newly two year olds, and I had asked momma if I could go, and she approved, so, here I was, headed off towards Spirane. The journey took longer than I had anticipated, but then again, we were on opposite sides of Mecor Valley, so the time that it took to get to the new land was, to be expected.

I found myself slowing as I came into the new territory. I looked around with my large soft green eyes. I was full of questions and worry, but I trudged on, hoping that this adventure would allow me to acquire new friends, and make it to where I wasn't sitting at home wondering when my momma would die. Just that simple thought threw me through such a loop that I was almost not paying attention to where I was headed.

I found myself almost too close for comfort by two other girls, But I luckily caught myself before it was too late. "Hello, sorry for the near collision. I'm Maris. Hopefully I'm in the right spot." Soft words were spoken with the soft glance. Both girls seemed so much...Larger than I was, already, at this age. And yes, I felt a little intimidated, but then again, momma taught me to never let my size be a factor.
