All that work....for nothing. He'd worked his ass off for Pine in Iromar. He was her enforcer, dealing out the punishments to those that would dare to cross the pack and even sparring with her to show her how to defend herself should a challenger show up on her threshold. Then next thing he knew, she was running off to Taviora and a pup was taking over Iromar in her place, telling all the wolves already living there that they needed to "bend the knee" or shove off. Pine was young when she took over Iromar too but she wasn't as much of a prick so Cuirass curled his lip and walked right over the borders of the swamplands and away, making sure Belhara was with him. He didn't know where Boneskull had run off to but he would be sure to track him down soon. It wasn't like Boneskull was his biological son or anything but he did want to know that he was safe and had found a place to bed down for the night. Meanwhile, he had a new mate to think about. When winter came, he wanted to claim Belhara in all the ways he could now. He wanted a lineage and they needed a pack for that. So he was on a new mission.
If that little prick was going to throw everyone out who wouldn't kiss his toes then so be it. Cuirass would find another way. He growled and grumbled in his throat all the way to Asteraia. He never thought he'd be returning to the pack where he was born and raised. The place had changed a lot since the Monster led it and trained him in how to be a warrior. It was taken by the family that ruled before her and his kind had to find another place to call home. He thought Iromar was the next best thing, what with all the shadows and fog. It was mysterious and secretive. Perfect for an outcast like him. But Pine lost her way and now he was without a pack and it was more than just him who was homeless. This wouldn't do at all. So he raised his tail and nudged Belhara toward the borders. They agreed that Asteraia was offering sanctuary to Iromar wolves so they would make their way there. The worst thing that could happen is the new alpha saying no.
As he made it to the borders, he threw his head up, sending out a powerful howl to the new alpha or whoever he had guarding his borders. He knew the patient thing to do was wait for someone to find him but he was rather impatient and grouchy right now, what with being thrown out of Iromar and all. He didn't want Belhara to see him like this but it couldn't be helped. He was a proud wolf by design and this just wouldn't do. He was almost tempted to drop by Diveen and say hello to his buddy Orifel. Of course by that, he meant no friend of his since they hated each other's guts but the funny thing was, Cuirass didn't hate him. Not at all. He found they had a lot of things in common actually. Orifel amused him. He wanted to push his buttons a little more. He shifted his weight on the borders, sighing as he reached out to nip teasingly at Belhara's shoulder. "Think you'll like it here, star gazer?" His eyes twinkled playfully.
