Matianak was a bit further inland when the storm blew through. The wind whipped through her fur as she sought out shelter. A lovely spring time day, she thought. Though the grey coated female was clearly not amused. There was enough of an opening beneath a sturdy tree that she scrambled her way in as the cracking of branches sounded over her head. As much as Mat might have enjoying watching the destruction, it wasn't safe. She could not quite afford to be crushed by something larger than herself.
She remained hunkered down, her pale eyes watching what little she could see blow through outside. Of course, the weather decided to hinder her enjoyment by dropping a large leafy branch before her exit. Matianak huffed and now had to wait patiently for the winds to depart without some sort of entertainment. Seeing a wolf get picked up by a tornado would have been amusing, but she was not so lucky to view that today. When the howling stopped, the female crawled out of her temporary shelter, digging through twigs and leaves before she was finally free.
Matianak moved towards the beach as well, surveying the area. Hm... It could have been a worse storm, that much was certain, but it had been fierce enough to toss about some heavy bits of wood and a stray dead seagull here and there. She almost got excited that the winds had carried a wolf to their doom when she scent Ehiyeh up the beach. But, once more she was disappointed to see that they were very much alive and moving in her general direction.
"Seems the storm threw around more than just gulls and trees," Matianak said as she drew closer to Ehiyeh. It was a somewhat poor attempt at a joke, but she wasn't exactly the joking sort. Plus, the woman needed to get a feel for this packmate before determining how to properly proceed.
