The birth was tiring, but not so much so that as her eyes drifted closed she was unattuned to the world entirely. She dozed in the space between wakefulness and sleep until an errant flick of her dark ear picked up on the noise of approach outside. Her lids cracked open revealing the gemstones beneath which seemed to veritably glow as they caught the diffused light that entered through the mouth of the den. As she caught sight of Eden backlit in the entryway an almost feline purr echoed in her chest while she looked up at him through dreamy, half closed lids. Content as a cat with a fresh kill nestled in the rather plush interior space of Glorall’s leader. It made her feel safe, accomplished, and ever rarely much more personable. She was shifting to make space for him to enter, oddly longing to bury her dark nose in the soft, creamy fur at his throat when she picked up the sounds of someone else approaching.
She tensed instinctively, curling protectively around the helpless bundles of fur at her chest as the tips of white fangs began to show in stark contrast to her dark lips. For the rest of their lives they could be a target for anyone with the blood she had chosen to mix within them, but it would not be so easy as they might think. It took her a moment longer than it should have to realize who it was, so distracted by the events and instinct that the feeling of his presence drawing closer was almost missed but she managed to sink back comfortably just before his large, white form appeared alongside Eden.
What a pair they made.
Now she did move slightly, making enough room for them to enter though if they both chose to do so at the same time it would make for quite the cramped party no doubt. Her movement dislodged the wriggling masses at her stomach causing an uproar of mewling and scrambling to rearrange themselves which also gave her audience the chance to get their first good look at them all before the settled once more. Looking back up at the stereotypical men waiting at the door she smirked and settled back comfortably; the cat who ate the canary indeed.
