He wasn’t sure what he felt to be honest about… Things. He always liked the girl that brought him out, showed him his purpose, Semele. Dragonfly shared his wild spirit and was in the free lands as he was, yet her scent had scattered to the breeze, perhaps she had left? And more recently, reunited with the daughter of his father’s imprint, Kalseru, who was queen to a land and perhaps not suited to a wanderer whose duty it was to stay out in the free lands and protect those here. They all had given him some sort of feelings, Kalseru was the only one that remained and those feelings for the others were quickly becoming something he thought less of as more time passed. He wanted to visit her on her mountains soon, but today something else was going on.

He of course had heard that Halcyon and Aster had given up Asteraia. Being a loner you tend to hear the howls and scent changes around borders. There was no challenge, not with Aster or Halcyon at least, and Ame figured they had stepped down gracefully. Now though, he was curious about something else going on. A few times Ame had toed the borders to Iromar. He didn’t know exactly what was going on, but all the scents had changed, and not many, if any, scents of the old pack remained. Their had been no howls of challenge, and this was where being a loner he was a bit out of the loop. What had happened? He had been investigating which was why He was roaming around the crags. It was the closest free land to Iromar, and while Ame knew he would be able to get information in Spirane or Diveen he wanted to stay out of it for now. Though it seemed he wasn’t alone today and he might not have to go far for answers…

The scent of his friend caught his attention. He was close by, and getting closer. Turning the slate, white and soft brown male made his way back the way he had come soon seeing the smaller black and russet brute that had been his best friend, comrade and brother of sorts since they were children. His stride quickened, and soon he was upon the other male, noting the seriousness of his face, the new wounds across his body, but he embraced his brother nonetheless. ”Halcyon, it is always good to see you.” Ame started though his smile was genuine a look of concern brushed his features as well. The scent on Halcyon’s pelt was of Taviora and the freelands, Iromar bushed in but not the same scent as the one that was currently there. His wounds and looks… they concerned the male. Something was going on with Iromar… and somehow Ame suspected his friend was at the center of it again.

”What has happened?” Straight to business, but it was clear to Ame that something was going on. As his friend remembered, Ame was a pretty quick witted male, and he could put things together. Now he just needed to know how he could help and what was going on so he could make it happen.
