Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She pressed into him but he did not respond, not completely at least. Instead, he merely countered her weight so that she might collapse wholly if she so desired it. Though some part of him still warmed at her touch, he had perhaps grown colder in their time apart, his mind more awash with other matters. Aster was important but other things were too - Asteraia, Ehiyeh, Iromar. The world became more complicated and here she had arrived just in time to make it even more so. He had to smirk at that realization but he put it aside just as quickly. Aster hadn't come with fire at her heels. Like before, she had seemingly come to burn out rather than be set ablaze. At least, she likely imagined so. Elohim never did like it when she allowed herself to fall victim to self imposed weakness. He knew her better than that.

He retracted when she did, leaned back to view her in the dull light of the moon; he watched her closely, his head tilted ever so slightly as she asked him. Had he heard? He nodded, slow and deliberate, if only because he hadn't any words that might be good enough to answer with. Rumors had been abound, after all, and Glorall was close enough to Iromar to know there had been sightings of children there. He just hadn't known for sure whether any had been hers. Archana, he wondered? He had quite liked the girl. He wondered if she had been stuck in the moors, a thought that made him sigh inwardly. Ehiyeh would have told him to stay in the grey in that moment...but she might have told him to fight for the children too. After all, he had no doubt even she'd do that for Pagan or Adonai.

He snorted. A coup? A take back? "He's acting without thought." He said it dryly, his lip pulled back slightly in frustration. Did he not think ahead? If he failed, it'd result in far worse treatment for his children. "Taviora is a safe place." It was the least he could offer though his mind roamed briefly to Moteuh and their complacency after - or had they been unable to act out of pain too? It didn't matter. "I suspect he didn't ask you so I will instead -" he shrugged, "what is it that you want to do?" He had always been direct. He wouldn't let her sadness and weakness get in the way this time.
