The fact of the matter was this: Melee had roamed further away from the den than she really should have. But the world was just so big, and she wanted to see it all! So her little golden puppy paws had carried her off and away, into the grand adventure of exploring Spirane. Slipping under her parents' radar during a time when she and her siblings were usually napping, she'd made her escape. Scurrying off into the underbrush, she'd just kept running along until she got a little winded and had to slow to a walk. Jade eyes looked up and around, ever seeking to take in as much as they could.

Admittedly at some point she realized she wasn't entirely sure where she'd wandered off to. But the keen desire to go on adventures - something surely inherited from and fostered by her parents - kept her from being scared or nervous. To her, the world was a good place, and Spirane was the safest pack in all the land! Surely it wouldn't hurt for her to just keep on exploring for a while, and when she wanted to go home she could just howl for Mom and she'd come and get her...right?

As she plodded along on her puppy legs, she thought she heard another wolf moving around nearby. Her golden ears perked up as much as they could at this age, and her tail wagged out happily behind her. Picking up the pace, she trotted forward in time to see the wolf jump over a rock and then come up to a humongous tree that was no longer standing amongst the others of the woods. Her little bum wriggling excitedly, she watched as he stepped back to size up the tree. What was he going to do? Melee glanced at the expose roots of the trees and the space beyond them where he could get around. She looked back to the boy, about to yip and let him know there was a way around when he seemed to coil down towards the ground and then launched upwards.

Melee's eyes went wide, amazed by this flying wolf as his front paws reached the top of the gigantic tree and then pulled himself the rest of the way up. Suddenly he was standing waaaaaaay up above, and the little golden and gray girl could hardly contain her amazement. "Holy moly! That was AMAZING! How'd you do that! Will you teach me?!" The girl trotted out to stand where the boy had jumped from, craning her head back to look up at him and falling back into a sitting position with the effort.
