Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things

_________________________________________________________________________

Long, lanky stilts stumbled through the trees. His life was different now, though he was not entirely sure why. He just felt…different. Lupin had no way to explain the new feeling he had within him, but it was unlike anything he felt before. Magic was not something that shocked him anymore, it had just become part of everyday life now. He easily took strange things in stride as everyday life now, and there was little that took him off guard. But meeting a vampire had been one of those things. Vampires were legendary monsters that pups were warned about. For years he had thought it was just stories to scare young ones into not wandering about at night, but now he knew that it was all true. He remembered the fear that had run through him when he met those glowing red eyes, but also the curiosity. So far all of the magic and magical beings that the male had encountered had been new and interesting, nothing to be feared. And while the vampire was scarier than others he had encountered, it was still someone new and unique to learn about.

The memory with Rogan was still fresh in his mind, but somehow blurred and uncertain. He remembered the harsh pain when the vampire bit him, but he also remembered somehow getting away. How had he survived? Everything had pointed to his death that night, but he had not been killed. And it was not because Lupin was some sort of fierce vampire killing warrior, but because Rogan had allowed it. If the vampire had wanted to bleed him dry, Lupin knew that it would have happened. When he met the intense unnaturally red eyes, he felt changed. He was seeing life in a new light, one that Rogan somehow was a part of now. He didn’t know how he knew it, but he knew that his life was now intertwined with the vampires, and that his life was no longer just his own. For the moment, Lupin still felt like himself, but he couldn’t get the other male out of his thoughts. How long before the thoughts consumed him more and forced him to possibly even seek out the other male. Would he really be foolish enough to go and look for a vampire? He could tell himself that would never happen, but deep inside he knew that was not true.

Shifting in and out of thought, the scarred brute paused his stride for a moment to see where his legs had carried him. He had not been paying much attention to what had been going on around him, and he realized he was in an area of the forest he had not visited in some time. The trees were thinning out as he walked, and he knew that not far away would be a meadow, filled with flowers. The meadow seemed harmless but it could be a dangerous place if one wandered into the wrong area. While all of the flowers looked pretty and innocent, some carried with them a deadly poison that would cause a wolf to go into a permanent sleep if they stuck around for too long. But he knew of those areas, and steered clear of them. To sharply contrast this was the other side of the meadow, where it was more a tundra due to the lack of growth from a fire that came through here many years ago. His thoughts were confirmed when he pushed through the trees and saw the green foliage of the meadow. There were many mingled scents here, some wolf and some not. But Lupin knew that this was a generally safe place and he didn’t pay too much attention to the scents that lingered.

For a moment Lupin thought about turning back to the trees, but having no agenda for the next few days he decided to continue forward. Maybe there was a reason that his paws had carried him here. So once more the brute let his thoughts wander back to Rogan, and the brief interaction with the vampire. He wasn’t sure why his mind was so focused on the other being, but he couldn’t go too long without thinking of him it seemed. Lost in thought and not paying attention to what was around him, he suddenly felt something under his paws, and his form twisted in them as he fell to the ground with an audible “oof”. He had been so lost in thought that he had quite literally stumbled on another wolf, stepping on the sleeping femme before he fell to the ground. Twisting his brown form to see what had tripped him, embarrassment filled him when he saw that it was another wolf. How rude and careless of him to interrupt what had appeared to be a sleeping female. Jumping back to his paws, ears pressed to his cranium, he quickly mumbled out an apology. ”I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention, I didn’t meant to bother you.” Green orbs looked to the femme in uncertainty, unsure of how she would react to his rude interruption.
