Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She at least didnt seem surprised at his approach so he must have been good about letting her know he was coming. He did see her glance up at him almost as if to see him but he couldnt read from her expression what exactly she was looking for. Did she wonder if it was someone she knew or was it something more specific than that? It was obvious she could tell he was excited to help but she was so calm that he was fascinated. She looked up, giving him a grin and nodding as her tail wagged. She gave her name as Ruby and he filed it away for later. Then she asked if he could tell what it was beneath there, something old and meaty she said. His eyes opened wide and he gasped before taking a step forward. “Like a bone or something? Or maybe even a whole carcass! Maybe it was buried, or rotted away and the ocean rose and covered it up or something cool like that!” He was full of ideas for what could have happened.

As she moved aside, he caught the subtle invitation for him to check it out too so he did, moving in with his nose to the ground. He sniffed around a little and grinned up at her. “Oh yeah, definitely meaty. I bet if we both dig, we’ll find it in no time!” She moved back to the spot again and he moved back politely. It was her find, after all. She told him he looked strong and he puffed out his chest. “Thanks. I do a lot of running and playing.” He grinned, proud of himself.

Then she asked if he wanted to help her dig it up and he jumped on the spot, his tail wagging. “Yeah, of course!” He snfed around until he found another spot close enough by hers without being on top of the spot she was at so he wouldn’t be in her space. He pawed at it. “Ill dig here, okay? I can still smell it here so they must be connected.” Waiting for her nod, he went right to work, digging as hard and fast as he could, excited to see what it was. When he hit something solid like bone, he looked with a gasp. “I think i got it!”
