Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

All that glitters is gold; don't believe what you've been told. Perhaps in some other life, Sabelle would have always been at peace. There wouldn’t have been this incessant need to cover the holes that blotted her heart. Most of which were left in the wake of her father. Athene being ripped away. Losing the two small babes she had birthed and Ky, whom had held most dearly to her heart. Even realizing that Macon would never truly love her and the knowledge that their mating was purely for maintaining the royal line left indents deep against the small beating organ. For the purpose of continuing her own existence, a wall had been constructed to block any more forth coming attacks. The cuts and fissures already planted firmly in the pallid princess’ heart were scarring over, making her hard and calloused to the outside. To protect what little innocence she still had buried in memories of Athene, Sabelle had housed them in a small box, along with the emotions she feared to let free; which had somehow managed to be almost all. What had not be accounted for was how hard the pull of Athene’s touch had been, because in a fractional moment all of those protected memories had broke loose. Such overwhelming sensation had panicked and settled the princess simultaneously, and the tears that glistened on her lids were the product. Athene said nothing of her daughters blurred sights, gracing Sabelle silence to clean them away. The thought of pups wiped clear the remaining traces of the cracked floodgates. Instead intrigue pulled at the strings, making her wander through thoughts of her own get. She winced slightly, hoping that Macon was capable to rear their offspring. Suitable enough for the throne. Even in the short time she had been a mother, there was a reminiscent reminder of the overflowing love at which she had looked upon them. The surging sense of pride and overprotectiveness that made it nearly impossible for her to do much else than care for them. The den Queens of the pack had been happy to see her take to mothering her twins so adamantly. For it was rumored that the Prince had been reared by one of them rather than his own mother, causing some scornful emotions towards the reigning Queen. Sabelle hardly saw them interact, making it a likely situation and not just coincidence. The Queen hardly seemed to notice the frolicking children that her son had gifted to the pack. Sabelle had kept a closer eye on her interactions with the pups, but had never felt any resentment coming from the Queen. Vocals pulled the pale princess from her thoughts, and she listened closely as Athene talked of her own. A soft, downward tilt of her lips was the only sign of her sadness at the death of Onora. Athene seemed unaffected by it, but Sabelle knew it was not her first dead child. It was infact the 3rd to her knowledge. Pierce had spilled the truth once after Sabelle had pleadingly and incessantly bothered the Beta on the subject. Darkness had seemed to ebb from his words as he spoke about the situation surrounding their deaths. Sabelle had been surprised, no shocked by the reasoning Athene had given Pierce then. And so when Athene had mentioned the trials once more for this duo, she was slightly stunned. > After losing two before, why do you continue to do the trials? To what purpose do they serve? A soft look of confusion showed in her eyes, but she meant no threat to the life that Athene lived and gave to her young. At least they still had their mother, she could not have said much for herself or the young she had left behind. A cool, tempered façade took ahold of her face once more. Striding side by side, they had walked on in this fashion towards the salty ocean cliffs and shores that Athene had housed herself in. Sabelle was unsure of returning to a pack life, but her mother seemed to find it fitting there. And there was nothing left of what she had once called home. The vivid sight of that splintered oak had ruined the shimmering charade of memories that had contained Spring Grounds in its former glory. >Tell me more about your pack. You are indeed correct to assume I am hesitant to join ranks once more. I was hardly more than a pretty pedestal ornament from whence I come. It hinted at the rank which she had held, only briefly. She did not want to leak out the weakness of her former life. How experiences had changed her, though she wondered if she had always been drawn to the fairer sex. It had not been until Macon courting that she had ever thought twice about looking for a mate. The only wolfess to profess love to a same-sex partner had been her Father’s sister, but she was gone. Fled away for whatever reason. Pierce never spoke of her nor did anyone else. > I am not entirely sure of my uses outside of a pack, but it offers time for me gather my thoughts and explore the land I was borne upon. Although I know Spring Grounds is no longer alive, rather it crackles with the static electricity that struck it to ruins. Maybe one day I’ll gather the nerve to submit under an Alpha, but there are things I need to understand about myself before I would think to entrust some duty upon myself. She glanced sideways so see if Athene reacted to any of her words or had any words of wisdom to share, or any reprimands. Sabelle was so unsure of their relationship or what Athene thought of her daughter. Though this did not diminish the joy she had allowed herself to feel over being reunited with Athene. People lie, people love, people go, but beauty lies in every soul.
