The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Yayoi

Wrong is wrong. No fallacy can hide it, no subterfuge cover it so shrewdly but that the All-Seeing One will discover and punish it. - Antoine Rivarol

It was so unique… Or technically, he was so unique. He was delicate, with his lucent wings that could be stretched out to the very tips, although their full glory had not yet been revealed to Yayoi‘s vision. Its coloration made him seem akin to the Arcus Irae that she had heard so much about. He was like her too… Only… Different. It was as if many different types of creatures had been smashed together to form one, to form this. A kalak in body shape, but not in color. There had only been one line of albino kalaks who had not been deformed or weakened by their genes, and they were all gone, dead, murdered. But then he was of these… rainbows too what with his golden nose… All mixed together and topped with the cherry of bat wings. It was so odd, so unique, so intriguing. She had initially thought that the clan‘s desire to regain their foothold in Blossom Forest had been a silly and useless one - there were few if any kalaks remaining living here, and a single assassin could be sent to kill the heir. Well, one had been sent but he was a fledging, not fully trained and had obviously failed since he had yet to return with any proof of his success … But now it seemed that her initial thought had been wrong. Coming back to these lands, it had been a fantastic idea. Who knew what sort of goodies they could dig up… Goodies like this, like him. She would not be surprised if the Scientist would be intrigued to learn about this, and in truth she was excited to share it with him… Now… Where were they…? For the Scientist, although spoken in the singular, was actually made up of many individuals. Yayoi’s mind slipped to thoughts of the Scientist - all of their drawn out experiments had finally paid off when they had figured out exactly with the plant did - but it was not the plant itself, it was something living on the plant, or in the plant. That particular part had yet to be delved out… But it gave them stronger claws with which to defeat to their enemies, and unique markings to identify each other by. The scientist had been invaluable to have for when they had been planning to taking over the throne, and would continue to be… And when it was all finished, he would be generously rewarded. But for now… For now this was her discovery, and so she asked the creature who he was, and what exactly he was.

But before the abomination could answer, she heard the click of metal on stone, of paw steps gripping the ground and turning her audettes to greet the approach of another. Her unique pools of sea foam green watched as a flash of russet slipped in front of her, placing itself between her and the beast. “...Eisukuro…” Yayoi whispered his name with a purr, pleased not only that he found her, but with how protective he was of her. Yes, she was a skilled warrior and could take care of herself against almost any foe… But still she appreciated the feeling of being taken care of. Not just as his princess, not just as a royal, but does his friend, his lover, his mate. She did not discourage him as he not so subtly threatened the hybrid in front of them, and was pleased when she was given answers swiftly - both the name, and an answer to her other question - what it was. What he was. “Chiroptera.” She repeated it after him, and let the thick word roll around on her tongue. It was derived from an ancient language, made up of two words that meant ‘hand’ and ‘wing’- an obvious mention of or gesture to the wings that grew so unnaturally from his body. Nyfiken - a name she had never heard before - had said that he was from no clan, and seemed to be confused as to what clans were at all. At first, she had assumed that this was some kind of mutant, like the others that they had seen within Blossom Forest. But if he had lineage, family, a bloodline that was all the same as he, that was made up of solely Chiroptera… Then he would pre-date the mutants that had been occurring here. He would be something older… Perhaps something that had been kept from these lands by the magical barrier that had fallen in the not so distant past. Yes… Yes Yayoi knew about the barrier, the mutants. She was very similar to how her half aunt Shae had once been - a keeper of knowledge, of secrets, of intelligence. She stuffed away little facts about everything, keeping them for a rainy day for when they would be of use to her. It seems that this was indeed some useful information. Now the question came, the start to her own hypothesis, were these… Chiroptera… Still mainly carrying the DNA of a kalak? Or were they a new species all together? The real question was, could they be interbred with the Zaba? Perhaps create something new and powerful to evolve the species even further?

The chiropteran retaliated with some questions of his own - who the two of them were and what she was the princess of. Yayoi laughed - it was still so strange and new being in this land, where other kalaks did not know her, did not know her name. But with her description of where she was from, would an explanation of her royalty even mean anything to him if he did not know about the clans? The femme fatale would answer him, but in such a way as find out more information - perhaps exactly how much he knew about actual, normal kalaks… “My name is Yayoi Miyako, and I am the twin sister to Ainae Jozuko, the Dark Empress of the Faraway clan. I am the princess of this bloodline, and heir apparent until one is birthed. We are the daughters of Beiro and Fatalia, and the granddaughters of Farant, the Blood King. Do you know of the Faraway clan? Do you know anything of the Council? For I’m quite sure they do not know of you, but you are so unique… I am sure that they would love to meet you. As for this here, my dear friend, this is Eisukuro Hogai. He and I are two of the four bodyguards of Ainae, I am the Northern Guardian and he is the Southern Guardian.” She looked sideways at Eisukuro - Yayoi had not and would not say anything of their relationship to one another, not if she was planning on taking this Chiroptera back to Mona Toforan in order to introduce him to Ainae , and more importantly, eventually to the Scientist.

So you say that you have adventured from the bowels of the caves… How do you desire to see what the rest of the world looks like? If you come with us, we can show you, and we can protect you. By the look of the surface of your eyes, you are going blind. We can teach you what the things around you feel like, give you names to things you have not quite experienced yet. We even have a pack here that you could join, be a part of. Are you interested? Or do you wish to know nothing else of this new world you have a adventured up into?” she dangled the bait in front of him - it was so much easier for all involved when they came willingly...
