Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

Slumber took the male and he was essentially dead to the world. He didn’t think that he would adjust so well to living at night and sleeping during the day, but he had. He wouldn’t want it any other way with what had happened with Macaria. He gladly gave up most day time activities to have more time with his mate while she could leave their den. Yes there were many caves that were all connected, but it still made him feel like he was cooped up when they didn’t leave, so going out with the moon as their guide always made him happier. When their pups were first born and basically only slept and ate, they remained entirely nocturnal. But as their young aged and wanted to explore the lands, they could not force them to only go out at night. For one it was more dangerous for them, and for another they were missing half the world. Grey Wind knew that it upset Macaria that she could not follow them out into the sunlight, even if she never spoke it out loud. But the pair raised their first litter as well as any “normal” mated pair. Just because one of them was bound to the night and had a unique appetite didn’t mean they were any less suited to be good parents. They trained and raised the four young pups as they had been trained, teaching them how to defend themselves and basic fighting moves. They taught them how to hunt, even if none of them were quite old enough to be getting meals on their own. And Macaria’s healing skills were being passed down to them as well. They were turning out to be well rounded wolves.

The large male was sleeping soundly when he felt his mate licking at his face. A contented noise escaped his throat as he leaned into her before re-adjusting to fall back asleep. But she persisted and nipped at him to really get his attention. Sleepy eyes finally opened to see that it indeed was daytime as he thought from the small rays that were at the entrance to the den. Why was she up right now? Shaking his newly scaled cranium to push the sleep away he peered at her curiously. It took him a moment to register her words about Kiora. He knew that all of their young had begun going out to explore on their own, Evandros especially, but it was not often that Kiora was gone for too long or too far. Concern flashed across his features as yellow orbs swept the den, seeing that there were in fact only three other bodies there. He frowned as he finally answered her. ”No, I don’t know where she’s wandered off to.” Their worried conversation was cut short when familiar vocals reached them. They had not heard Kershov’s call for a pack meeting in a long time. And now that Grey Wind thought of their king he had not physically seen him in a long time either. Sure he had been absorbed in being a father, but he should have run across the white male’s form at least once by now. But Kershov had never left the pack for no reason, and he was calling them together now which is what mattered.

Grey Wind didn’t need to wonder long what they would do about Kershov calling a meeting during the day as Macaria spoke up to answer his unspoken question. Grey Wind had not taken much time to explore the tunnels that connected the caverns as well as Macaria had, but surely she knew the best way to get to as close to the meeting place as she could. Nodding in agreement the male rose, pausing to stretch his limbs and awaken his muscles as his mate woke up the three pups that were present. Missandei made an annoyed sound at being awoken from her sleep, and her soft noises made the male smile. She was on track to possibly be a healer like her mother. She was kind and unjudging of others, but she was also strong and could make an excellent fighter. Though he doubted that her heart would be in that line of work. The brute bent down to nuzzle each in turn as they woke up with yawns and stretches. Evandros confirmed that he didn’t know where his sister was with a shake of his head. ”No, I haven’t seen her either. Is she missing?” Not wanting to worry his daughter, Grey Wind shook his head. ”No, she’s just out exploring. We’ll find her.” His eyes met Macaria’s red gaze with the last words, speaking them more to her than to the pups.

With a whine the femme pushed the three young his way, and he helped lead them out of the den and into the light. He paused before heading out to brush against his mate, licking at her muzzle for a moment in farewell before he turned to lead the pups to their first pack meeting. Missandei seemed to have already forgotten about her missing sister as her russet and black femme’s plume wagged excitedly behind her. ”What is the meeting going to be about?” With a smile to his curious daughter he trotted forward, keeping them moving as he spoke and explained that she would have to wait and see. Leading the three young ones to the meeting spot took some time as their minds wandered and they drifted off here and there to explore, but he kept them focused and on trail so as not to delay them too much. When he reached the meeting point he saw that they were not the first family to arrive. Athene with her two pups and Frekari were already there. Grey Wind took a moment to nod to the mother and other femme before greeting Kershov. He bowed low to his king, a smile on his lips at seeing his friend again. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Missandei try to copy his movement, but was clumsy and fell forward with an embarrassed yelp that escaped her before she jumped back to her paws. ”Kershov. Macaria sends her regrets to missing being face to face, though she is not far.” Another smile reached his form as he heard her call, letting the alpha know that she was in a way at the meeting. ”And these are our young. Evandros, Missandei, and Ronan.”< He left out the fact that one was missing, not wanting to draw attention to it just yet. Grey Wind had been on high alert to any sign of her on their walk here, but there had been no evidence that she had been along the same path as them. The brute sat down, is newly scaled muzzle pushing the pups towards him to keep them somewhat contained as he waited to see what the king would have to say to them all. Missandei, often the obedient one, nuzzled up to his leg and sat down, peering up at him before looking to the intimidating form of Kershov.
