Winter was quite nearly upon them, and yet Nimueh still did not have a pack to call home. Uyaraut was where she currently lived, true, but… it was definitely not the place she considered home.. But it would do for now – for whatever reason, Kershov wanted to protect his pups despite the fact that he had yet to actually have anything to do with them. She would always wonder how exactly he had figured out that she had born his pups, considering that she had not told a soul outside of his pack. But perhaps that was why Kershov was the Ice King that he had heard so much about – because he had little birds that fed him information that was hidden from so many others. At any rate, Nimueh had had so few times to actually have any time to herself, that when Macaria had offered to babysit her pups as a payback for all of the lessons that Nimueh had taught her, Nimueh had grasped on tightly and leapt at the chance. She loved her pups, and found that she did not need much alone time… but she did need some. And so she trotted through the forest outside of Uyaraut and moved toward the mountain peaks that she had seen in the distance for all of these months without visiting. The peaks were heavily laden with snow – large caps which she knew that she would not be able to permeate… but she knew that she would at least be able to enjoy the trails on the lower parts, follow the deer trails that had been packed into the soil when the ground had been soft and moist from rainfall. Speaking of rainfall… Nimueh glanced up at the sky, her white eyes blinking as drip drops of precipitation landed on her delicate corneas, but she smiled – winter was bitter and cold, but this in between time was beautiful. What… what exactly was this? Nimueh scrunched up her brow as the… the rain fell upon her, soaking her. Only it wasn’t water for it shimmered and glimmered like a precious metal. Nimueh felt her consciousness leaving her and she gently, as if falling asleep, collapsed down toward the ground, fast asleep.
