Steadily I made my way down and through the pack lands. Each of my senses gently probed the territory. Ears flicked to and fro, listening to the sounds of my home. Nostrils flared to take in scents new and old alike. Fire-rimmed mahogany eyes surveyed the landscape. Beneath my paws the ground felt familiar, no blade of grass seeming out of place. As I moved along, my maw parted slightly and I tasted the unseasonal coldness in the air, the descent of winter encroaching upon autumn earlier this year than it had last. Overall, Spirane felt peaceful, and that put my heart and head at ease.

Though there was a certain scent on the breeze that wasn't entirely familiar to me, neither was it completely foreign. I'd picked up her scent on a couple of occasions around the pack lands, though I'd never had the pleasure of meeting the shewolf to whom it belonged. Always though her scent had comingled with that of a trusted member of the pack, not to mention the notes of our allied pack - Diveen - that fringed her perfume. She was no threat to our home, rather she was likely a good friend to Spirane. And yet today, as I took note of her scent within the mountain air once more, I had a strange feeling that there was something different about her visit. Perhaps call it an alpha's intuition, but it was mere moments later that her call rang out to me, allowing me to pinpoint her location not so far away, a grey and golden woman toeing the line between the pack lands and the free lands.

Ears perked forward, my tail lifting slightly as I took up an easy jog to approach her in a light and friendly manner. "Greetings," I called as I made my way towards her, lifting my snout in acknowledgement and acceptance of her presence within the 'technical' borders of the pack. "It seems high time we met; I'm Nymeria." Perhaps a little less formal than I'd learned to be in my training as heir, but this all seemed a little more relaxed than that.
