The snow didn’t bother him, the cold never had, and he liked that a place this far south got a good bit of it. The cold helped to cool his temper and numb his heart. A solemn expression fell over his face as he reached an area where peculiar flowers fought to break through the top layer of snow. Avery’s scent was stronger here than it was anywhere else so he would surely find her soon enough. He continued to move through the frozen marsh, his dark figure contrasting against the primarily white scenery, until he saw the familiar figure of the Iromanian queen in the near distance.
