Persephone did her best to comfort and encourage her new companion during the swim from the Crossing to Luthien. She took her time, and took the safest route she could through the places the water was shallowest and calmest, and gave as much advice as she could offer. She hoped that the short journey was not too traumatic for the young mare, and emerged onto the shore of Luthien with a sigh and a shake of her dripping body. She turned to ensure her companion made the exit smoothly enough, and offered a comforting smile as congratulations. “How was that?” she asked, watching for Creed’s reaction. “Not too terrible, I hope?” She tilted her head, flicking her wet tail with a spray of ocean water. |
