Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

_________________________________________________________________________ Fear was the first thing that swept through the female when she realized what the creature before them was. This was no ordinary wolf before them. The vampire was a true creature of evil…or could be. Being raised by a vampire made Missandei have a unique take on it. Most were more judgmental than her. But at the same time she knew what this brute was capable of. And it was not something that she wanted to trifle with. Pretending like she was internally shaking with fear, she stood up, barely coming to the fully grown male’s shoulder, acting as if this was her den and she could take him on. The young teen knew that she was no match for this male, but maybe if he realized that they would put up a fight and not roll over quietly he would leave them alone. She was not the only one who was acting brave. Hondo rose to his paws as well, telling her to run and try to save herself. But the femme knew she could not do that. Even if she thought she had a chance of getting away from the brute, she could not leave her friend behind. Because if she was being honest with herself he was far more than a friend. Even though they were now teenagers, the young pair had never taken their relationship much further than friendship. Sure they would curl up and cuddle together at night. But that was as far as it had gone so far. But if they continued on the current path they were on, the two would surely become lovers some day. But a future was no longer in the cards for them. Orange hued orbs turned to look to her friend, trying to relay to him that she would not leave. Surely he knew that she was not going to just run away and leave him behind? She would rather die here with him than survive without him. But she didn’t realize how close to the truth that thought was. The vampire somehow made the situation even worse. Instead of just killing them or letting them go, he began to mock them and their young love. Hondo was not lying to her, he wanted her to get away safely was all. If there was a way that she could sacrifice herself and ensure that Hondo escaped, she would do so. But something in her knew that wasn’t going to happen. It would be a miracle if either of them made it out of here alive. ”Of course we mean something to each other. We’re best friends and always have been. You’re the only cruel one here, not either of us.” The young teen snarled at him, as if it would frighten the formidable beast. But she couldn’t bear to hear the way he was talking to them. As the larger male began to press a paw down on Hondo, easily overpowering the younger and smaller male, Missandei grew more and more worried about their predicament. He was playing with them, like a cat could play with a mouse. Why didn’t he just get it over with or leave them alone. They had done nothing to deserve this treatment, and yet he was mentally torturing them. Finally, unable to stand back and watch anymore, she flung herself forward, as if she would be any match against the vampire. ”Stop it! Leave him alone!” The brown mottled femme was trying to hold back her tears from spilling over, not wanting to show any weakness before she died. Missandei tried to bite at his paw, to pull him off of her friend, but in her heart she knew it was helpless. Before the vampire could make his final strike though, another began calling out for him. Apparently his name was Thacks…what a weird name. But she didn’t have time to think about his name right now. Maybe this other creature could help them? And the new female’s name was revealed to be Tesa. If these two were on first name basis, they were probably friends, but she had to try and get her to help them. ”Tesa! Help us stop him! He’s going to hurt him!” Before anything could be done though, the deed was over. She thought that death would be long and drawn out. But it was over in the blink of an eye. One moment Hondo was breathing and alive under the vampire’s paw, and the next his neck had been broken and his blood was being sucked out of him. Everything inside her went numb. She couldn’t cry or scream or fight. All she could do was sit there and stare at her best friend. Missandei didn’t even register Thack’s words to her, and when he grasped her, she just went limp underneath him. There was no fight left in her now that Hondo was gone. She didn’t even have time to mourn before her own life was ended. There was no pain, that was the only kindness that the vampire had given them. He ended their lives quickly, and then sucked the blood from them rather than making them suffer. Before Missandei could truly begin her life…it was ended. In one quick movement of a larger beast’s jaw, everything that had kept her living and breathing was severed.
