Persephone’s hooves sank into the soft sand of Salem’s surface. It had been such a long time since she had visited the island. In fact, she hadn’t returned since her dealings with Valve and Evren all that time ago. It seemed like an age had passed since then – so much had happened, for Persephone and certainly for Evren from what she had said. Things had a tendency to change like the winds here, on these islands. Persephone paused as they reached the borders of the Desert, and she turned her attention to Evren. Her demeanour was calm and confident, but her expression was soft with concern still as she looked at her friend. “Do you want to lead the way from here?” she asked, her dark eyes trained on Evren’s face. She paused for a few moments, then tried to offer the smallest of smiles in encouragement. “We’ll find him, don’t worry.” |
