Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

This wolf is a wolf of many words and yet, her words are straight forward, direct. There is little waiting before she begins stretching out a web to connect Iromar and Glorall once more; visiting children and all of that. I briefly of Seraphina and the male she had brought with her - I understand she has delivered children and, if their parents are anything to gauge their natures from, they will surely need to learn how to socialize with others sooner rather than later. It is not to say Seraphina or her companion are aggressive or even undesirable but they are...unusual. It is not healthy, I do not think, for a family unit to be too connected or connected in such a way that others cannot move into their lives. But I suppose the technicalities of...that is better left for a different day.

I bring my attention back to her with a firm nod. "Of course, Glorall is quite pleasant in the summer. I have some older children who would enjoy meeting the children if Iromar and, perhaps, even visiting your pack in a similar fashion." I know, at least, that Badar will be overwhelmed with the idea of venturing to Iromar. Avery's offer in itself is quite fitting - it is one often made in the past, seldom so now though. Though Taviora and Spirane hosts their events, a more private exchanging of experiences is less often used to garner relations between packs. It will be interesting to see how the diplomats and children of Iromar compare to the other packs as they grow if their mentor utilizes these older practices. Perhaps that is something Glorall should consider.

But these exchanges are not nearly as interesting as the wolf before me, at least not entirely. I will undoubtedly learn more about her through the interactions with Iromars members but...there is no greater source than the root itself. And just as I consider that, she begins to reveal more - a smirk here, one I cannot help but match, endeared by her. "There is a fine line, don't you think? If one keeps their head down, it leaves them open to assumptions." I give her a lopsided grin, for I am sure she understands that much - she is, after all, the product of a culture despised in the past and I imagine she has carried some scars from that even if she kept her head down and did not employ the antics of her forefathers. "Many of those who held power in Iromar were the offspring of Glorall. It was in our best interest to keep a balance, particularly with both Iromar and Diveen neighboring our borders. If there was a simple way to put it, one could say we picked neither side but did not lower our heads either." I muse, my words finished with a lingering grin. She can take as she wishes from it but in essence, Glorall was ever the neutral party, collaborating with either side when the benefit outweighed the cost. Is it so wrong to do so? Alphas swear they do as they do for their packs but few are willing to do so if it means making an enemy, or even slighting a single party.

I wait a moment, ensuring she does not respond too...harshly, though I am not wholly bothered if she does so. I am doing my best, after all, to appear amicable. Once again, I intend to keep Glorall as neutral as possible, ready to make deals and take them where required. But I do quite like this new leader, or rather, I am exceptionally curious about her. She is new but now, familiar but not. A lot of things, but not. I want to find out more of that and so, I move to stand with a quick flex of my legs before I move aside, as if opening the 'gates' to Glorall. "If you are available, I would be happy to show you some of Glorall's shores - appreciation, perhaps, for coming to Glorall with such tidings." But it is clear, as well, that I mean to explore her nature just as much as I intend to allow her to explore Glorall itself.
