Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

how long will we blame the devils on our shoulders
and pose like angels on the outside

I have put it off long enough, though there is truly no reason for having put it off in the first place - perhaps I merely enjoyed, in some way, watching her be so eager. Tikal, that is. It's not so often that somebody seems so eager to find themselves with a duty to perform and yet, from the moment she had stepped foot onto the shores, she has dedicated herself to finding something to do, or to be. Now, finding somebody eager for duty and capable? Ah, now that is where she proves herself to be quite the impressive wolf despite her initial impressions. I must admit, I did not expect it, not from somebody so tender-hearted and nervous. So whereas I have enjoyed watching her chase her goals, it would be unfair even for me to continue moving them just because I enjoy the view.

I let her know I am looking for her with a howl before I take off through the territory and down the familiar paths; I have a hunch she will be lingering near what are left of the late blooming flowers. They sprawl out across the sand dunes, vines of silver-grey foliage with specks of yellow and purple flowers. They are, as far as I know, unique to Glorall's shores and thus, I do not doubt she is basking in every last moment of their existence. In any case, that is where I go - perhaps I'm also curious as to whether they are still blooming this far into summer. The sky is clear but there is the smell of rain in the air, a grey line of clouds building to the east; this summer, Glorall has been given fine weather. Storms roll in throughout the nights and days but prey still continues to flourish where they had once been barren. It is a much-needed break from the last several seasons and, from a political perspective I suppose, a good way to introduce those from Iromar who will come to visit soon enough.

I let out another short call though it lacks any true urgency - instead, I find a place beneath one of the few trees dotted by the dunes and allow myself to rest. It seems there is always something to think about and so, I do my best to clear my mind for the time being, eyes closed. I only open them when I hear her approach, my head slowly turning to meet her with a lopsided smirk - "There you are. I think it's time we talked, no? You have been a busy wolf, after all." And for a moment, I cannot help but think I recognize another scent on her.
