Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD . . .

The pain of losing a pup was something that Grey Wind had never thought he would have to endure. But him and Macaria were forced to face just that. Most pairs would cling to each other for comfort. But once again, this pair was not like most. Many times it was Macaria that set them apart from the rest, but not in a bad way. The pair had a trust deeper than most, so much so that they were in an open relationship of sorts. Grey Wind knew that his mate had needs he couldn’t understand and he never wanted to restrict how she should act. They had tried to be monogamous, but it just caused fights and more issues than when they tried being polygamous. Or when Macaria was polygamous to be specific. But the male had come to terms with their arrangement and it no longer bothered him the way it used to. When he was with her he knew that Macaria loved him and only him, even when she slept with others. But that was not the only thing that set these two lovers apart from the rest. When Macaria had almost died giving birth to their young, a vampire had come to be their savior. Only in turning the femme could she be saved. And she had been saved, and had become a creature of the night. But this had never once bothered Grey Wind. She had grown a cannibalistic taste before the transformation, so it was just a different form of what she already was. He had never made her feel bad for what she had been forced to become. Until recently.

Grey Wind had messed up in the worst possible way, and he feared that he would never be able to fix the situation. Blaming his mate for their daughter’s death was stupid and wrong. His emotions got the better of him and he lashed out at the one wolf that he needed. And now he was alone, and he had no one to blame but himself. His grief had only intensified since his fight with Macaria, and he knew that they needed to speak to move on. And more importantly, he had to apologize and beg her forgiveness. Once he had spent hours on hours of wandering aimlessly through the trees, knowing that he would never find her unless luck was on his side, he lifted his maw to sky to call to her, begging that she would answer him. The male made sure it was the middle of the night so she could be out and run no risk of the sun coming up soon. His scaled limbs dropped to the earth, his newly scaled muzzle laying on his paws as he waited, hoping that she would come. After some time, the metallic scent of fresh blood reached his nares, and he lifted his head to look behind him. His yellow orbs met her bright red ones. Macaria had answered him. A whine escaped his throat as he stood, taking in her blood covered form. He had seen her blood stained before, and her form didn’t shock him. He was just glad that she had come.

As Grey Wind approached her, she swiped her claws at him. If she had wanted to hurt him she would have, but he stopped in his tracks, his yellow orbs not breaking eye contact with her. “Call for me to complain once again about my vampirism? Because this is me in all my glory, Grey Wind. I have never once claimed to be something that I wasn’t.” The male knew that he deserved every bad word that she may want to say against him. And all he wanted to do was to throw himself at her and show that he didn’t mean any of it. But they had never been that kind of pair, cuddly and affectionate. It didn’t mean that they loved each other any less, but they showed their feelings in rougher ways. The male’s ears pulled back as he finally began to speak, making sure to choose his words carefully. He didn’t want to make things any worse than he already had. He wanted to make things better from here. ”Macaria…I…I know that nothing I say can take back what I’ve already said before. But I didn’t mean it…any of it. I know it was in no way your fault. I know you didn’t chose to become a vampire…and I don’t care that you are one. Your still you and you never would have done anything to hurt me or our family. I’m sorry…I…don’t know how to make things right. If there’s anything I can do to make it better, I will. Whatever it may be.” His eyes were pleading with her to try to understand. To forgive him if she could. Grey Wind would understand if she couldn’t, he had been absolutely awful to her. But he just wanted things to be better with them again. In his speech he had inched closer to her, and now he was right in front of her, hesitantly, he reached out to lick some of the blood of her chest. Hesitating not because he was afraid of her, but because he would understand if she wasn’t ready for physical contact between the two of them yet. But he could hope that his actions might speak louder than words, and that she would sense how regretful he truly was.
