I’m on the hunt for a suitor for Persephone to have a foal with, possibly for this breeding season or maybe the next one I haven’t 100% decided yet, and the choice of father may influence this. Persy isn’t looking for romance or love, merely a sperm donor. I imagine that her getting pregnant would occur one of two ways:
a) She develops a trusted friendship with someone she gets along with, and asks him for the favour. She would want to remain friends, and although the foal will live with her and she intends to be the primary parent, she would be quite happy for the father to be involved and visit regularly for as long as they remain on good terms.
b) She has a brief fling with a stranger after deciding she wants a child. Even if this were to be a one-night-stand, the man would have to be tolerable at least and get along with her at least on an acquaintance level for her to consider him. The stallion does not need to be further involved with her or the child after this. However, there is also the option of her getting pregnant and then becoming friends with the suitor afterwards, if that made sense.
If anyone has any possible options please let me know who and a little about them, and what kind of scenario would work for your characters, and any further plot ideas you might have.
