PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Silent as the wind;

Khar had spent many of the last months since she ran into the Lagoon stallion lost deep in the jagged peaks of the valkerie's territory. It had not taken long after leaving Gent's company to determine that the swell of her belly and the fluttering kicks was definitely not gas bubbles. She enjoyed the time of her pregnancy, sticking close to the lower hillocks and valleys that bordered the peaks. In time, the child had come. And a beautiful creature she was. Khar had reveled in those first few days together, solidifying the bond between mother and child. It was a filly, one she named Thara after the fierce winds that whistled and moaned through the trees.

Like any newborn, Thara was ungangly and unsteady on her feet in the first few days after her birth. Time and again she would trip and tumble down the rolling hills while Khar watched with masked amusement nearby. As the days passed, Thara began to grow stronger, faster and fleetfooted as even the small white goats that raced and bounded over the jagged peaks. More and more Khar felt a sense of ease in letting the filly wander a big higher up the jagged mountains and a bit father from her gaze.

It is on this morning that she is casually grazing through the short grasses, allowing Thara to nurse her fill before the war summoned her away. She does not doubt that the small bay splash filly was safe here, but instead finds her mind drifting to the cinnamon dusted lagoon stallion she had spent time with. As if by command his scent comes to her, riding on the drifting breeze. Proudly dished crown lifts as pale silver blue eyes scan the rolling hills and jagged peaks before her. Ears swivel as the sound of muffled voices catch her attention and with an apologetic glance at Thara Khar puts herself into motion.

For a moment Thara is confused and somewhat insulted. Mother had never not let her drink her fill, especially with whatever it was comibg that had all the other mares so worked up. Small brown ears swivel in confusion as Khar'pern navigates down the narrow paths. A soft toned whicker draws from her own lis as the small filly races after her mother, charging over the hill only to come to an abrupt halt as the dark mare and spotted stallion come into view. A sudden nervousness overwhelms her and with prancing steps she circles back around mother's lithe frame, peaking out at the unfamiliar stallion and mare she had only seen from a distance.

Khar felt certain she would never know whether it was the gods that drew Gent to the Peaks now just when he had suddenly come to her mind. After There's birth, she considered seeking him out but we'll, it wasn't exactly like they had the love story of the century in the making. Their coupling had been one out of lustful passion, the resulting child was hers to care for and she was okay with that. She was a valkyries daughter and there was very little need for a male.

However seeing him now, there is a small smile that tugs her ash dusted lips upward into a smile. "Gent!" She purrs, her thick silver white tail flicking idly against dappled flanks as she comes to a halt aside Wasp. "A surprising pleasure. Finally bored with those lagoon duds are ya?" She teases flashing him a smile though pale ooids still remain guarded and cautious. He is a stallion after all. No matter how charming she found him to be.
