PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Her head turns, her eyes drifting to the stranger - at least, so far, it was confirmed for her that she’d found the right place. This woman who walked towards her had the skin of rugged creature, tough and worn like one who had walked the world over and then over again. She looked more appealing to her eye though, with hair and white contrasting the black of her coat. At the same time as drinking in her appearance, Maraigh was sizing her up and watching, paying attention to every little shift in weight and ear flick.

The works spoken were welcoming enough for the purpose Maraigh sort. Her lips curled as a smile mars her face, though it never meets her eyes.

“Precisely what you just said is why I am here,” she says, in a slow voice. She had been about to speak again, inquire about what it took to make this a home, when a call broke into her reverie and a youngster approached. Maraigh’s ears instantly went back, nostrils curling in irritation at being interrupted, and was only worsened when the young lass briefly introduced herself (far too willingly, she thought wryly) and then spoke to the woman she’d been speaking to. She went on a tangent that was far from what Maraigh had come from, and she snaked her head out with her ears back.

“Perhaps in the future, you should learn to wait your turn,” she snarls at the young one, not caring what Adelhaid might think of her malevolent outburst. Maraigh had struck down children for less, but she kept that to herself as she stepped forward, swinging her body to the side and blocking out the child. Her eyes return to Adelhaid.

“I was going to ask what rite of passage do I need to follow to claim a place here, amid those who will not be under the hoof of another being?” She asks, as she ignores the interruption and focuses upon what it was she’d come for.

A fantastic first introduction, she thought, as she waited for her answer. She’d give that extra waiting time for her name, to see what she’d need to do before this place became her home. It was already decided in her head, but Maraigh preferred companions of her own gender and in such a different place, it was better to inquire and learn.
