The war was finally over so traveling across the sea felt safer. Still, she leaves Paisley behind in the Thicket mainly because the girl protested against the journey. The filly wanted to return home to the Desert, but learning that was no her mother's plan caused her to refuse to leave where she stood. She leaves her child with the safety of Ruger and the rest of the herd as she swims towards the island of Salem. When she returned to the Thicket it would be time to go home to the Prairie, but before she could she had to let Cain know she was a free mare.
She arrives in the Desert with caution, as she was nervous to be facing Cain again. Gingerly, she walks the sandy island towards the spot where Paisley was born. She reminisces for a few minutes until a bellow takes her attention towards the oasis nearby. She recognizes the voice as Akello, Vihaan's son and her nephew. Maybe she wouldn't have to face Cain herself after all. An idea pops into the mare's head as she travels the very short distance where the colt stands with a mare just arriving to him. Prim watches for a few minutes before finally alerting her presence with a nicker.
She travels even close to the pair until she was just a few steps away from them. A small smile if given to the mare, but then her focus glues to the colt. "Little Akello could you do something for me?" She asks the colt with a small, sad, smile. "Could you tell your father I have been freed from the Thicket, but I am not ready to return here. Please tell him I'll be going to the Prairie with Paisley, but I'll make sure she visits soon." A sigh leaves her pale lips as her head lifts and her green gaze turns towards the stranger.
"So sorry for the inturption," she apologizes. "I'll be on my way now." She gives one lasting glance to Akello before turning away from both of them and picking up a canter back towards the ocean.
