Starry-eyed child left behind

EYOTA
Mare | Quarter Horse x Appy mutt | bay tobiano blanket | 15 HH | six

Eyota's ears instantly perked forward at the sound of the stallion's voice, and she wearily pulled herself to her feet. She had expected to be approached here, in the commons, but she hadn't expected to be approached so suddenly. She was a young mare still, and this was the first stallion she had ever really spoken to. Eyota shook the dirt and debris from her body, flicking her tail slightly at the end with a snap before her doe like eyes fell upon him.

"What better way to celebrate my journey, than with a good roll!" She smiled at the stallion weakly. It was true, it was quite the swim, and she was exhausted. But the fire within the young mare burned on, and her smile brightened. "The mainland! Yes! What a swim indeed! Some say lucky, but I like to think of it as persistent! They call me Eyota!" The young mare lowered her head to the stallion, she wasn't quite sure what stature the stallion standing before her held, and it was always better safe than sorry. Her mother had taught her nothing of the way of stallions, and frankly, she had very little contact with them her whole life.

Rougaru was quite the stallion, but he seemed friendly enough, and the mare's soft doe eyes couldn't leave the stallion's emerald green ones. Suddenly Eyota felt his eyes on her own and she looked towards the ground. In truth, the stallion was a bit intimidating, as handsome as he was. "W-Well tell me about this Atlantis you come from! Sounds like quite the place!" The mare smiled again, keeping her eyes lowered, scanning over the scarring across the stallion's body, curious of what battles he had fought, and what stories he had to tell. What this place was really like, and what dangers she would now need to be wary of. It seemed this new place had a lot more mysteries than she had thought.

there was a memory of how beautiful,
how wild,
how colourful,
how adventurous,
and how wonderful this big world was.
