PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Looking for Trouble

The young colt bowed his head as he padded forward, exhausted. A new stallion had taken over his previous herd and driven him out. Now, at a year old, he was on his own. By some small miracle, he had yet to bump into anything he couldn't outrun. So far, he had had a brief encounter with an inexperienced canine of some sort. Not something he had ever seen, but he had always lived within the safety of the herd. Besides that, nothing. He was supposed to have left with another group of young stallions, but they had disappeared one night without him.
His ears perked up as the sound of running water reached him through the nearby forest. It had been a while since he'd had something to drink. He eagerly pushed through the low-hanging branches around him, and dropped his head down to drink.
The mountain water was crisp and clean, and after drinking his fill, bucked happily. He still didn't know what he was going to do, but at least now he wasn't thirsty anymore.
Instinct had driven him to higher and higher ground, and now he found himself above the foot of a mountain with the peak above him. A few times, he could have sworn that he had caught the scent of other horses, but he hadn't seen any signs of them. Sometimes, he wondered if he was starting to hallucinate things, but since it was only when the wind was in his favor, he figured that maybe he just hadn't run into them yet. Sweet, naive soul.
