PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

not all treasure is silver and gold

How long has it been? Months? A year? Two years? He wasn't sure, but he did know it had been long enough for his father to fight for them to come home. He felt abandoned, but also shame for putting his body through what he did. Standing up to the Peak out of pure loyalty to his doting father (he had been a good caretaker at the tome). Even with the many times Cullen rolled his eyes at his childish thoughts or how he loved to roll in the mud. Verrat knew his father wished for a better son and that is why he thought he could step up when his leader could not. He fought to prove to his father he could be his heir. Cullen could be proud of him.

Then he lost. Not only did he lose his excitement to make his father proud, but he also lost the will to fight. The longer his captivity led on, the longer he lost hope. Father wasn't coming for him. Did he feel even a bit guilty for causing the only son that stuck by him a defect? He feared he would never be able to win a fight and countless practice battles proved that theory. He sighs and stares at the thick clouds overhead. For a year he has been hiding from the Peak mares, from Bozena, awaiting rescue. He had hoped he wouldn't have to talk to any of them. He even avoided Ivanna when she came calling for him.

The time for slipping further into depression was over. He would kill himself if this kept up, but at the same time he had nothing to live for. Save for the fact he still wanted to see his father again. Verrat sighs again and limps towards a lone stallion making a call to the Peak. The closer he got to the stranger the stronger the scent of the Lagoon got. The pale stallion quickly become intrigued. "Are you from the Lagoon? You smell of my father." Cullen's strong musk clung to this young stallion's coat. "Cullen is my father. Is he okay?" Even after all this time all the boy worried about was his sire's health. How was Cullen when all of his herd was held here? It was obvious he wasn't completely alone considering this spotted male smelled of him.
