I have been advised by John Handford of the passing of Colin Tigwell. Colin had become ill and was hospitalised where he succumb to a heart attack. He passed away on Wednesday 06 January.

Presently a funeral service is planned for Wednesday 13 January but may need to be revised due to Colin's wife, herself, being in hospital at the present time.

Some may not be aware that Colin was instrumental in setting-up the first airman aircrew list (circa 1996) which evolved into the current list, namely the Airman Aircrew Association website. Hence he was the Patron of the AAA.

Colin was a great asset to the Airman Aircrew Association for he was always in the background offering advice and voluntarily doing things such as producing the airman aircrew decals which many of you have. He produced these at his own cost and gave them out.

Colin will be sorely missed. A legend.
